If you too are putting forward a hypothetical view of your own, Painter, then I reckon AWB won't start but Benteke may do.

I'm going on the basis that Roy wasn't bluffing about his groin. Maybe you know different ant fair enough.

If he was bluffing, then as I've said elsehwere, I wouldn't drop a fit Christian Benteke to play without a centre forward.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I think Bournemouth would like to play a 4-3-3 which would suit us without Benteke. However, if Stanislas is out, he went off injured last week, they might revert to a 4-4-2 with Defoe and Wilson up front or stick with 4-3-3 and play Defoe, Wilson and Ibe up front. So either a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 could be used by us. If RLC is started either formation would work.

I understand he is out for the rest of the season.
He has done well of late - Not a bad 'Free' signing by Eddie Howe !

Even when Defoe has retired and becomes a pundit for 5Live and is sitting safely in the Selhurst commentators' box, I will still fully expect him to pop up and toe-poke home an 85th minute winner...

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.

Both Connor Wickham and James Daly (18yr old been playing for U23’s) have been left out of the U23 squad today against Huddersfield. Not sure if they are injured or not which may end the speculation but if both Benteke and Sorloth are injured for tomorrow it may mean that one or both of them (CW & JD) may be in the match day squad? I can’t see either starting but you never know...

Just saw in the sky sports app preview for Bournemouth v palace and it says Tomkins is available again for selection , I wonder if Roy’s is playing a few mind games

Just because he's back training doesn't mean he'll play, he may have just returned to light training today. Think Roy tends to stay clear of mind games.

Wickham injured, Daly will probably get on the bench though fingers crossed!

If Daly has been pulled from the U23's to be a part of tomorrows squad then i'd like to see him start and if it isnt working by half time then switch to Wilf, Andros and RLC as a front 3 interchanging all the time.

Really disappointed I can’t be out there helping the team tomorrow. I picked up a slight injury in training that shouldn’t keep me out for long. The timing is frustrating but I’m sure the boys will bring 3 points home! 🦅 #CPFC

OK all you Benteke haters we will now see if your cries for his exclusion from the side will make us a stronger side. I hope you are right but I doubt it and Bournemouth will be very happy he is not playing.

Ward played a half for the U-23s today. So he's close to being back. Assuming Tomkins is back:

Hennessey
AWB, Tomkins, Sakho, PVA
Cabaye, Luka
Townsend, McArthur, Zaha
RLC

Bench:
Cav., Kelly, Soure, Daly, Lee, Riederwald, Jach
