Benteke's not fit to be a striker anyway, so no change

This will be a blessing in disguise, a forced change will freshen things up. Some say “ that we will miss Tekkers for his defensive qualities”, but that is not why we paid that sort of money for a striker.

Not only that we have conceded a lot of goals from corners and crosses with him in the side, what we need is Sakho and Tomkins on the pitch at the same time, then we will be fine.....

My worry is that Andros has not exactly been prolific this season has he. His shooting boots are obviously off at the menders as well as Tekker's.

Disagree I think andros has been ordered to be slightly more defensive, in directly relation to wilf becoming a winger/striker out of nessesity and also cos of giving a bit of extra cover to bissaka

FFS. How does he injure his groin if he never moves about? Don't answer that.

Dropped his wallet, never seen him move so quickly and it is a weighty object.

This is where Roy will earn his wages. I imagine he'll go for the Wilf and Andros duo but the midfield will be interesting. Perhaps a diamond when attacking with RLC behind the strikers, maybe pushing up when they spilt into the space centrally and Cabaye and Macca behind him doing the box to box stuff with Luka holding? If we go for the flat 4-4-2 it'd mean Macca on the right (Wilf and RLC on the left works well) and that's not ideal tbh, he is no wide midfielder

Accordng to Physio Room, Benteke is a slight doubt for Saturday (some of us have serious doubts), but Sørloth won't be available.

I agree we look more mobile and fluid without Benteke.
However,I think he will be needed to assist in defending corners/set pieces against Brighton.
Duffy,Dunk,Murray and Ulloa are all strong in the air and attack the ball well.
We already look vulnerable against the high ball and even assuming Tomkins and Sakho pick up two of these opponents that still leaves spare opposition players.
We were a shambles against Arsenal,Spurs,Man U and Bournemouth conceding from balls into the box and I don’t want to give this opportunity on Saturday.

I think Benteke injured his groin practicing modelling his new Apsley Suit range!
Must take it out of you a bit jumping in and out of a few pairs of strides and jackets, sitting around whilst a touch of cosmetic work is done, posing for pictues and finally mincing about like a total dandy!

Perhaps he might be ready to get back to the day job this week..? Can't get any worse for him can it?
Maybe even the Chinese might start to think
