Felt like Groundhog Day all over again yesterday. Finishing, defensive errors and lack of ball retention. Plenty of huff and puff and energy though. Fitness levels looked good for most. COYP !!

I don't agree, if that penalty against City went in, things would look better.
Since October, it was only Arsenal away where we weren't in the game, all the others we were in the game until the end.

And very little tangible for supposedly being "in the game until the end". Would have, could have, should have; it doesn't mean jack if you can't get the results and the table very clearly tells its own story. Glorious failures haven't, don't and won't ever butter any parsnips.

So do you think we will stay up or not then? I do.

So you think we should have been beaten by 4 or 5 goals against the top 6 sides. What does that do for team confidence?

Look we have lost 10 matches against the top six and only lost 6 against the other 14, we had chances to draw or even win against top 6, i take heart from the close results against the top 6,the other 14 are not better than us and the players will look at it that way, always take positives from negative results it the only way to go forward

This . If we'd been hammered by the top 6 teams, confidence would have been shot. As it is we hp into the last 6 games on a confident mood.

Spend enough of the game defending your penalty area and the inevitable will happen. We’ve not been unlucky to lose these games IMO just not quite good enough.

Benteke tried hard today but his head’s gone in front of goal.

I don't share the view that our next 6 games will prove any easier than our last 6 matches.

As for Bournemouth, I can only see them winning. They have only lost 1 of their last 7 Home games and averaged 2 goals a game in those 7 games.

I agree with your sentiment as there will be endless posters on here on the predictions threads saying we are going to 'smash' this team and predicting 18 points from the last 6 games, which clearly won't happen.
That said however, I'm happy in the knowledge that Roy won't be allowing the team to have that sort of mentality.
AND at this stage it is in our hands!

... what
