This post has been merged from a topic called 'Jamie Carragher' by Guntrisoft Well he has been suspended by Sky sports, maybe they will get a pundit I can understand now.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Jamie Carragher' by Guntrisoft Good. Next Sky should consider getting rid of some of the other unintelligble pundits in particular Phil Thompson on Saturday afternoons who goes berserk when something remotely exciting happens in a match he is watching.

Anyone seen the interview with him on Sky News? The interviewer was very fierce. She was truly merciless with him and he did almost crack when reference was made to his own daughter and how she might feel. It's a case of whether they were so tough on him in their own news studio in order to distance themselves from him or whether they want to keep him on, so wanted him to look broken and therefore worthy of the public's forgiveness. I'd say this behaviour was far worse than Rodney Marsh's tsunami joke, albeit the other driver was an annoying, and dangerous driver due to his phone use.

Actually I like both Thompson and Carragher as pundits and have no problems understanding them. They have played nearly 850 games for Liverpool between them so they talk from experience.

On the evidence of that video a vile man and in my opinion a truly dreadful pundit. Looking forward to TV football without him.

I see a certain Sky Sports presenter tonight reporting on this story. What's the worst crime? Spitting while driving or driving to pick up your kids whilst over the drink-drive limit. Sky obviously thought the latter was not a sacking offence. Just a thought.

The wider question to what extent employers should feel obliged to sack employees for what they do outside of work.

Being in the public eye makes it different to normal employment, obviously. You then have kids watching him on tv and JC giving his opinion on player behaviour. It could get embarrassing for sky if fans sing about this at games he's in the studio for.
