Nah, 2 target man, ones bad enough. People getting so excited over Sorloth and absolutely destroying Benteke but I was much more encouraged when a ball was played to Benteke tonight than the former, Sorloth looks as slow as anything, immobile and lacks the understanding of football at a half decent level.

Yeah

It really not sensible to have two tall No.9's playing together.
Benteke was strong defending but did little else.
In fairness to Sorloth at least he tried to hold the ball up, not always successfuly, and this ability may have looked as if he was slow.
Let's face it, until we find a constructive midfield any striker we field will struggle.

Did little else but set up the opener for andros maybe? And strong defending? And nearly scored but for a world class save? But apart from that..........

Think that’s harsh on Sörloth. He doesn’t have too much pace but he’s strong and large. He’s been thrown in at the deep end. Looked dead on his feet at the end of the game as most of them did. They gave their all. Couldn’t have asked for much more. Think he’ll improve and looking forward to seeing him develop.

I am broadly in agreement with these comments.

We have to remember that Sorloth is only a young lad of 22 and has moved from the Danish League to the PL which is a different kettle of fish. Before he joined he hadn't played since November/December and this was only his 3rd game for us.He looked more comfortable with the ball at his feet than when it was in the air and it did look as though he could improve aerially.
