I get the impression this is what Parish relies on. I don't think he does enough to give the manager what he requires, put it that way.

He might argue that we have spent nigh on £70 Mill on transfers in 2017 which is hardly piffling amount.

£10 mil net in the 2016 summer window before the January 2017 one. Hopefully we stay up and turn over a new leaf somehow but I wouldn't count on it. We need to get ourselves in a position where

1) Mistakes aren't repeated.

2) we aren't relying on the next window to correct the mistake, which unavoidably will end up costing more and/or damage further windows.

Very obvious but not obvious enough maybe.

Looking at the Koeman signings still at the club - 8 players with signings ranging from £4 Mill to £12 Mill.
Koeman signings who have left cost between £1 Mill and £11.5 Mill (Van Dijk)

In terms of Puel - 6 players with signings ranging from Free to £17 Mill.

So yes, relatively small amounts in PL terms.

Any chance of us signing their scouting team?

Exactly. Although other teams's woes are always welcome, it would be far better if we were to pick up the points and not have to rely on other sides self-destructing - something we can't rely upon anyway e.g Huddersfield were on a slide but then turn over Bournemouth.

Bournemouth were toilet and if we don't turn them over too I shall be disappointed.

Howe said that mentally they weren't right and hinted at complacency. I suspect that they will be in a different frame of mind when they play us.

Bournemouth have only kept 1 clean sheet in 18 games, covering both league and cup.

They always get out of trouble lose enough games to get back into trouble then win again its what they do.
