Good display. Lots of running and chasing back. Loked composed and seemed able to handle himself well. Should start instead of benteke against Spurs. This may wake benteke up and make him realise he is allowd to chase the ball down and get closer to the opposition rathe than watch the ball.

Looked good, a really positive debut.. Very strong lad! His touch looked a little heavy but that’s being overly critical. I also liked the fact for a newbie and young lad he was telling the other players what positions to get into and where they should go. Annoying we did not cross the ball enough for him and Benteke but Sorloth especially as he won pretty much everything in the air. Townsend was guilty of not getting the ball in enough today. Think we may have found a gem in this lad. Got all the attributes and seems like he has a great attitude/desire. I’d really like to see him down th middle. He looks such a handful. Edited by MonsterMunch (10 Feb 2018 9.44pm) Amen. I was totally impressed too. Highlights of the day was his excellent debut and Yala coming over after the game to give us all a wave.

Considering the difference in class of the Danish league he has been in, Sorloth mad an impressive debut. He played intelligently and used his strength and height skilfully. He could well make a strong contribution to the team if he settles in as well as he promises.

How many Polish defenders are playing in Poland and available for 1.2m that you think are premiership quality? Likewise Swedish midfielders playing for Malmo. Pay peanuts get monkeys. disagree - football is eleven against eleven as Iceland proved. I am expecting Roy to use the games we are not expected to win to spring surprises. Nine, ten, or eleven points from the next fifteen will put Palace on the front page of the Advertiser. COYP

Decent debut (I'm a Norwegian and in general sceptical to fellow countrymen playing in the big moneyleague), but he was a bit too nice and soft when chasing the ball. Strong, big and quick lad, should put in some tackles. His header golden, the one from Benteke again missed the target. Would put Tekkers on the bench next game with Sørloth on top. Says more about the Belgian's contribution...

Thought we did well. Work rate was good, put himself about and defended well when being asked to drop back when they had possession. 1st touch looked a bit shaky at the start but improved. Almost scored a decent header and put in a great cross for Benteke. Think he will improve over the next few games when he gets up to speed with the Prem. Once we have Wilf back I’d probably start him ahead of Benteke. That would hopefully stick a rocket up his arse, but doubt it...

From what i saw of the highlights Sorloth looked a bit of handful and a goal threat which all boads well for the future. Benteke's place in thd team will be under threat when Wilf comes back with Sorloth leading the line.

In the next home game we really need to get behind this lad , make him feel confident even when he does things wrong , keep encouraging him and then I think we’ll have a top player on our hands. He’s got the lot, pace , power ,heading and enthusiasm.

But yes its a confidence game and getting behind ALL our players would go some way to seeing them all at the top of their game.

I am encouraged, he has talent and will improve with experience - but not in tandem with Benteke. Benteke now has competition so he should be on the bench and give Sorloth a go. This may give him the incentive to raise his game which has been abysmal. It is a waste to have two similar centre forwards on together. We need the spare man in central midfield to create more chances as the conversion rate by our No.17 is something like one goal for every twenty opportunities - really wasteful and the main reason we are flirting with disaster.
