expat you make a damned fine point. real world is an out of contract player will want the right package. Cabaye could easily look for 15m for 2 years cos he knows somebody will pay it.

they aren't all worth Cabaye but a good player is still going to hit us in the pocket for a renewal

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

In our favour...
I don't see too many clubs wanting to pay prem wages for our players. So I'm optimistic that we can keep whoever we want to keep without too much effort.
Replacing them would be more costly than renewing for certain, so we can afford to outbid other clubs.

Did he tell you then?

3-4 contract renewals, the signing of Jach already replaces Delaney and 2 loans. That fills 6-7 spots. Then 3-6 summer signings with remainder covered from the academy.

Sorted.

Covered by the academy, sorted? i think not.

If we are going to need half a dozen or more players let's hope that the deals are done early as if they are left until deadline day and we mess up as usual we could end up really up the proverbial creek without a paddle

Dont think anyone would pay Cabaye 15M, he is getting past it regarding speed and stamina, hope we keep him mind.

So, you're saying we'll be paying them what we have been paying them? In other words, we'll be over paying s***e players which has been most of the problem.

In reality, we'll offer those players less money which will mean other clubs will be able to challenge us for their signature.

So, if Sako is on £30k now we either have to pay him the same, more than he's worth, or we'll offer £20k which Wolves might be happy to do when they get promoted.

I'm sure there are not many of the 10 (excluding loaned players) we'll want to keep. Maybe 4 are PL class, if we resign the rest we're just continuing the recent trend of having poor depth.

Grumpy Mart rather than just moan, could you not explain your reasoning.
For example why did we need another 6 players in the Summer ?
What’s multi loans ?
Why does the club need a rebuild?
Do you mean the ground or team or both.?

I do not need to explain why we needed 6+ in the summer we can see the result now the squad was too small not enough cover.

What can you not understand about multi loans you loan multi players it's fairly simple we used the max for Prem which is 2 and now we appear to be willing to get players from abroad so we will try get some from abroad as well before SP didn't appear to have knowledge to do that.

The club needs a rebuild look at the age of the players we have and half of them are not good enough the other thing is a large amount are out of contract.

The training and ground needs rebuild as well which is being looked into by the club to improve these areas.

I fail to see how it's moaning it's looking at the real picture a lot of you on here are wearing special glasses or your brains just do not appear to understand what is happening

Until we know which Division we are in it is difficult for club and players to decide on contracts. I think that Kelly, Sako and Ward will be offered contracts and stay. I think Julian and Damo will not be offered extensions. Lapado has gone. That leaves Hennesey,Lee, McArthur and Cabaye. Lee has to earn an extension in Wilf's absence. McArthur and Cabaye will be looking for last career contract so may want to see what is offered elsewhere. Wayne I don't think will want to stay and although he will be offered contract will turn it down.

On our loan players will all return to parent clubs if we are relegated. If we stay up I think RLC and Rakip will join us on permanent contracts. The question is the fee I think RLC will be about £12 million and Rakip a figure a fraction of his buy out fee( Benfica will have to decide quick profit or wait and see how he develops)

It isn't moaning, some people can't handle a picture of reality being painted.

I was called negative last week on Twitter for writing Sorloth's and Rakip's appearance/goal stats.

Being called negative for stating facts is a new one on me.
