Dann especially, what's he doing there? cause there are 6 other center backs: Tomkins, Sakho, Kelly, Jach, Riedewald, Delaney, with TFM able to play there too. What if the league won't allow you to de-register/ un-register Dann or Puncheon? Doesn't this seem like a massive managerial error?

Wouldn't it have been more logical to save 2 slots in the eventuality that you get free players like Nasri or Josue? I don't think that you are allowed to as all available players over the age of 21 must be included whether injured or not. It's a bit of a silly rule as the authorities could easily say that long term injured can be left out but if they are then they can't play at all for the period for their own or any other club

Point being that it stops people like Parish solving issues with loans after the window when he finds out what he needs. Going by the rules he could've brought in Nasri and a keeper and left Dann, Punch, anyone out. We all knew he needed a keeper, that's poor. If you decide to have 2 wingers and 2 strikers after Sako gets injured then it isn't the rules at fault. Anyway I think we can sign Nasri and loan a keeper in as an emergency if Hennessy gets injured.

One cannot just de-register players once the squad has been named. We have named a 24 man squad. Edited by Willo (08 Feb 2018 1.04pm)

) Clubs can make changes to their squad but only during transfer windows, so once submitted the clubs will be stuck with that squad until January. Only in exceptional circumstances, such as a goalkeeper crisis, can changes be made outside the window, and then only if the Premier League board approves the changes.

) Clubs do not have to name a full squad of 25 if they do not have that many contracted players and in this case they can add free agents outside the transfer window. However if they have 25 eligible contracted players, they must be named.

This is my understanding as well apropos "Exceptional circumstances". Edited by Willo (08 Feb 2018 1.14pm)

A competitor wouldn't think it was fair.
