I worked with a woman who went out of her way to walk past a building site and in her words god help those guys if she didn't get a comment or wolf whistle.

The beautiful are blessed with strong, healthy genes which probably means above average intelligence at birth. The highlighted words are key. Sadly, they then follow an oft trooden path. Being so good looking their personalities fail to properly develop. You get the stereotype of shallow, self absorbed and fankly dull. Also, while they often devote time and effort on their bodies, there is one muscle they feel they don't need to work on too hard. As a consequence, less good looking contemporaries rapidly overtake them on the intelligence front as they let their natural superiority go to waste. You end up with the other cliche - the dumb pretty one. Which feeds in nicely to that other peice of empirical evidence that correlates low intelligence with polarised politics - both extreme left or right. Dummies seek simple solutions to complex problems whether that be mass deportation of foreigners, the death penalty or the nationalisation of everything. Move away from the pragmatic middle in either direction and you see an associated drop in brain power. Thus, it is not difficult to see why better looking people tend to be more right wing: they're completely thick. And if you want to see clear evidence of this, just look at the parade of over-painted, intensively trained, half-wit former beauty models that Trump wheels out as his spekespeople...

Your post amused me quite a lot. Your seeming obsession with intelligence with your value judgements on people born low on that scale is slightly worrying seeing as your can't spell 'frankly' properly......and of course the fact that those born with low intelligence are not to blame for it....so it's no different to blaming a person for being the wrong skin colour. Of course in reality, the very idea that your politics is related to attractiveness is very spurious.....it's going to be influenced by other factors like class (access to money)...and the majority with money tend to be more right wing because they want to keep more of it....they can afford better lifestyles, which connects to culture...the stress placed on a pleasant appearance, a good diet and/or money for the gym. All generalism of course but they would affect the mean over a sample I would guess. It's just silly really to connect it to left/right politics. But good for the memes I suppose.
