You should as we are in the mix to be relegated.

If we do, we will find it is a tough proposition.

Last years relegated sides Hull and Sunderland are near the bottom and could well drop into league one.

I follow it out of interest and see plenty of good football good pitches stadiums much improved.

We won't go down.

Three worse teams than us in the prem.

So if you follow it so avidly why not answer his question?

If only he had not got injured.

There are plenty of us at PNE think of Mike Elwiss with very fond memories (if getting somewhat blurred by the passing of the years!).

As for Jordan H.....I would say that he is a little limited technically (long ball does not "stick" to him as well as I think it should)but on the plus side he is a very big guy, always puts in a good shift and is surprisingly pacey for a guy of his size.
He is good in the air and always hustling defenders but being completely honest I think £8m is a bit overpriced (but then I object to paying more than £2 for a pint).

It is being reported locally that no contact has been made so it is probably just agent talk.....but I guess we will all know for sure by this time tomorrow.

Best of luck for the rest of the season guys....I always liked "Woy" so I hope that you end up comfortably mid table.

To answer Blackeagle - Primarily a target man.....but as stated....he does have a lot of pace for a big guy.

On the wider point of the Championship....I think you guys know as well as anyone how hard it can be to get out of that league and personally I really don't see much difference between the bottom third of the Prem and the top third of our league (Tin hat on waiting for barrage of denials).

As I said - I hope you don't come down - but if you do then don't expect a bounce straight back up.

Parachute payments distort the Championship and really don't make it a level playing field (e.g. relegated teams get a bigger parachute than our entire annual turnover) but their duration means that there are plenty of teams with decent sized budgets and there are is plenty of competition for the promotion and play off spots.

I totally agree with your thoughts on the similarity.
The bottom half of the Prem is not great and there are lots of teams in the Championship's top half who would do prefectly well against us and others like us.
I think it is probably squad depth (most of the time) that shows as we can see with Brighton and Huddersfield falling back after good starts.
However - doing well in the second tier is tough - 46 games coming thick and fast against some big clubs - tough!

Hi PNE fan,

Did you attend a game in the old division 2 when we came to play you , it was Mike Elwiss's first return to Deepdale. We were unbeaten away , so I made my first away trip of the season. Mike got a good reception and we went in 2-0 down at HT I nearly went home. I stayed and we won 3-2 and Elwiss scored twice in the last 3 minutes, did not get such a nice send off.

Underwhelmed on this one. Not exactly prolific in lower leagues and being strong and quick in the Championship does not mean you're strong and quick in the Prem. And if the ball doesn't stick then just forget it.

Indeed many thanks PNE fan1 and a useful insight into Hugill´s assets and limitations. BBC are saying this morning that talks are óngoing´ so maybe something is going on. And good luck with the Championship dogfight, as you say very difficult to get out of

I suffer from a complaint that is highly prevalent among football fans....selective amnesia. Sufferers only remember the good bits and consequentially share the same delusion that their team is undoubtedly the best on the planet....

I'm glad you have fond memories of your trip North, and I'm also glad that PNE fans gave a good servant the right reception when he was playing against us. I'm please to say that we generally do this and its nice to witness any occasion where we (or anyone else) transcend the tribal boundaries and give credit where it is due.
If Jordan does end up as an Eagle then come to Deepdale next year (we will make it via the playoffs - see para above for details) and we will give him a good hand.
