How many are genuine fans, how many turned up for a freebie ala Phil Collins and Chelsea (Ken Bates told him to buy his own ticket and grassed him up to the press)

I used to walk passed David Bowie’s house on my way to school in Bromley. Although he’d moved by then, he lived there before he was famous

Bill Nighy - always makes me laugh even when he's supposed to be serious.
Bill Wyman - walked across Tunbridge Wells common with him and his Blues Band to his concert after meeting at a pre concert dinner. He didn't know the way. Surreal.
Eddie Izzard - went backstage to meet him after his gig at Brighton, courtesy of tickets via Palace. Anyone else on here do that?

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I remember seeing Richard Wattis as the celebrity guest with the Palace side on the BBC programme Quiz Ball in the 1960s. David Vine was host.

Plaistow Grove!! Not sure what number now, it was a long time ago, but a mate from school used to live along there.

I didn’t know he lived up Canon Road, I had family along there, but I expect he’d moved by then

I went to St. Joseph's school in Plaistow Lane, and I recall a classmate lived in Plaistow Grove.

Bowie's old house is at the end of a terrace, opposite The Crown pub which has recently re-opened. I'm going there next Tuesday with some old schoolmates from Bromley Grammar ( Ravensbourne School )

I wanted to go to Ravensbourne, but I got my 2nd choice which to my eternal embarrassment was Quernmore along London Lane

I honestly can’t remember the house now, I only knew of it because my mates dad used to go on about it, I think my first reaction at the time was, who??
