I don't know the reasons why 2 members of the Board were relieved of their duties by the owner Mr Lai.

Perhaps Mr Lai totally entrusted the football decisions to the Board and has been less best pleased that they sacked Pulis who has a reputation for keeping teams in the PL and replaced him with Pardew who has only won 1 of the 13 games that he has been in charge.Only speculation of course and I could be wholly wrong.

On the 'Debate' the other night Jamie Redknapp stated that the likes of Mr Lai are successful businessmen, not used to failure and might have felt that someone had to 'Carry the can' for the slump hence relieved both Williams and Goodman of their duties.

They are f***ed.

Managerial merry-go-round was bound to catch someone out.

Did they not look at his last 18 months with us??!!

Was he really the best candidate for the job?

Was very lazy of them to appoint Pardew in my opinion. Let them reap the results.

Mr Lai of course sacked the Chairman and Chief Exec.
One can only speculate as to whether Pardew will be relieved of his services if they are relegated.

Perhaps his appointment was a factor in the decision taken by Mr Lai to sack 2 prominent figures of the Board given their results since Pardew was appointed.WBA were 16th when he took over so hardly in fine fettle but they have slumped to rock bottom and are probably needing snookers to survive.

he will insist that he is the man to bring them back up, but only if they give him a massive contract. his delusions of grandeur are truly spectacular

Reports have suggested that Mr Lai has been frustrated by the fact that WBA were unable to strengthen in January as a result of FPP after spending £40 Mill in the summer. This meant that Pardew could only bring in a couple of Loan players, Sturridge and Gabr.So maybe Pardew, despite the poor run of results, is not seen as wholly culpable.
