Given the current position and no prospect of anyone other than the Tories running the show it's not really currently incumbent on Labour to be setting out Brexit policy as it wouldn't be worth much. The time to do it will be as we get closer to any election. However I do think they could bring about an election much sooner than 2022 if they came out and said they were committed to single market membership in line with 85% of their membership. This would make significant government defeats on Brexit legislation by October almost certain and likely lead to another election. Add to this a likely recession and the fact that the UK is lagging way behind the rest of the OECD and that's a recipe for changing the course of Brexit and getting rid of the Tories. They have no coherent policy. They have set out 12 different plans and Corbyn cannot even align with himself. Anyway we are polarised on this matter and the debate is veering away from the current issues of UKIP.We will have to agree to disagree. At lease we have argued our corner free from immature and petty personal slurs.

If Ukip come back it wont be remainers inverting democracy. Ukip will only come back if people who voted exit are unhappy with what the Tory Brexiters put in charge of negotiations have come back with.

Corbyn won’t support remaining in the EU because he knows that his nationalisation project would be illegal under EU law. Plus, he has been an advocate of Brexit since the 1970’s, so suddenly becoming a Remainer would be hypocritical.

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (23 Jan 2018 10.56am) Britain is about more than Brexit. There are vitally important domestic and economic issues irrespective of Brexit which require a different government. The current one is an utter shambles and wedded to zombie economics and damaging social policy.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I have not changed my opinion of this government. It has become lower if anything.
