He didn't take them on a terrible run last season. We finished them off. That's what happened and I remember the tension for a matter of minutes before Wilf was gifted goal 1 of 4. He did a remarkable job getting such a shyte team into the position he did from nowhere and the 3 players they were missing killed them versus us with us only missing Sakho I think. Won 1 of last seven games.

"Sky sources understand that Watford already have a new manager lined up and that he will be a newcomer to English football." That augurs well. Who could it be? I know. Let's go and have a look at Sky Bet :-) Jose Lopez. Edited by chateauferret (21 Jan 2018 11.16am) And now "Sky sources: Javi Gracia will be named Watford head coach in the next 24 hours after agreeing a two-year deal".

Won 1 of last seven games. The last 2 were us and Spurs. We killed them off. Did you watch the Hull v Sunderland match the week before us and hull all over them before 2 goals against the run of play? Reverse that result which was looking highly likely and it would've been 7 points from 15 just after 2 back to back wins. That game at Selhurst would've been a bit more nervy I would think. But it wasn't to be for them. Big effort, not enough players.

You are right if we say he could have won the games they lost they would have stayed up. When Watford realise that if they won the games they lost they would be above City they will regret the decision to sack him.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Marco Silva' by Midlands Eagle I remember in the summer many on here were adamant we should have got Silva before Watford when it was clear he was leaving Hull. Think we dodged a bullet as he has just been sacked by Watford.

If you call not hiring a manager who's likely to have an equipped team nowhere near bottom with no points or goals and instead hiring a manager who did whose akin to hiring an atom bomb at the training ground then I guess you're right it's a bullet dodged.

So you didn't watch the hull 0-2 Sunderland match the week before hull played us then. Any one of those however many chances they had makes it 1-0 to hull and more than likely we'd be relegated. That's how close it was but some have forgotten that, and have even forgotten the tension before the 4-0. Their 3 injuries and the 1-0 gift swayed it massively in our favour.

I have seen many games Palace should have won but lost. Although we should have won we still lost, nothing changes that.

And the 11 players Roy has been able to play p1ss all over that 11 at Selhurst last season, as they should and did on the day. The pressure didn't look on v Sunderland. They were all over them. The pressure was on for them at Selhurst because the chances didn't go in v Sunderland and they lost.

Hull under Silva were shocking away from home and were terrible at defending set pieces. He was incapable of even basic organisation at set pieces. Look at what Pulis did with us and compare that with Silva at Hull.
