I've been a critic of Wayne on here I'll freely admit, i'm also glad to say he currently seems to be in the form of his life and long may that continue. I think some of the original problem lies not with Wayne but with how Julian was treated when Wayne wasn't performing so well. To go back, Julian had arguably just had his best ever season with Palace when he dislocated a finger and had to be replaced with WH, Wayne had a bad run and was replaced by McCarthy who screwed up against Liverpool gifting them a goal, then Wayne got straight back in and JS never got a chance. Wayne then had some more average games (including dropping one through his legs at Villa?) still JS never got a chance. Criminal. With the above stated ... more and more my ire is towards Pardew and his arrogance and lack of man management skills. That all said I do think Wayne is currently No.1 on credit as he has upped his game and looks far more commanding. Hopefully Dean Kiely can keep him firing. I also recognise WH made some mistakes. However, nowhere near the amount people made out. If he makes a mistake against the Arse (in my opinion) it won't undo all his good work and his form, albeit he will be castigated by certain [repetitive] posters. I hope he has another belter and Jules is training as hard as ever.

HE has played well recently and as a detractor I am delighted that he has.

Could having a new goal keeping coach have anything to do with his recent improvement?

I'm not his biggest fan but I agree he had a very good game and claimed a lot of high balls into the box.

I would like a better keeper but I wouldn’t be too worried if we sorted it in the summer. Think we will get a new one this month though.

His performances (except for Brighton in the cup) have definitely improved. This could be due to having a manager willing to drop him in favour of Speroni and now he knows he has serious competition.
I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |
