We're down to our bare bones at the moment. Don't wanna think about consequences should Zaha, Luka or Cabaye follow on the injury list. But there are players "out there" - like Colback (Newcastle) and Ulloa (Leicester) with bags of PL experience available for "peanuts". Hope there's no truth in Hodgson's statement in Daily Mail: "We might sign no one in January!"

The scourge of modern football and modern sport.
We have pushed levels to such a level its inevitable.
Where will it all end?
God only knows

Larger squads?

That would help, especially clubs like us which only have a PL first 11 and bench when everyone's fit.

People keep saying how things our squad is, but considering the amount of injuries we have, and to key players, the team were likely to put out today ix still pretty good.

Squad size is the same for everyone 25. How on earth would larger squad size help us, the big clubs would stockpile even more players, making them unobtainable to us.

Think he meant better depth of squad than larger....

Plethora of injuries and Roy going on record as saying it may be very difficult to bring in any new players this window.
Why??

From a negotiating stance it makes more sense not to look desperate. They may feel that given that there are so many injured players returning in next month or so and that we are out of bottom three we can be optimistic

None of these are starting today

Speroni
Ward
Dann
Sakho
Schlupp
Cabaye
RLC
Lee
Wickham
Townsend
KaiKai

Other than Zaha for KaiKai, I'd fancy them to give our lineup against Burnley a good game

It looks ok but of course 7 of those wouldn't be able to start because they are injured. Of those only Townsend and Ward (not sure about RLC)might be back in the next few weeks. We do have a problem now and having Wan-Bissaka and Kaikai on the bench today illustrates that.

Saw Mamadou Sakho after the game and he says he will be fit by West Ham!
Good news
