We looked second best throughout the game and are still toothless without Zaha. Lose no sleep, we only miss the next round against Pulis.

Got to agree with this. However, I'm glad that we still have Wilf, Tomkins and Tekkers fully fit and un-crocked after this game. We all saw tonight what would be in store for us in the league if we had to rely on Damo and KaiKai week in and week out. Exactly. But we also learned what we might need to do if we ended up in that kind of mess which can inform whom we now bring in. Whatever you say about Hennessey it convinced me that the highest priority is not to get exposed like that in central defence. With decent defenders and not trying to park the bus you can keep a clean sheet against City with Hennessey in goal FFS. The second priority is to be able to carry an attack if any of the usual suspects aren't there. Sako has been a revelation but we still don't really function without Wilf. The same can't be said of Benteke, actually. As for the weed - they're probably jumping for joy because they beat our second XI by a single late goal. They'll be laughing on the other side of their faces when they come to Selhurst in dire need of points and find themselves looking at the heavy team. Especially if they've just been casualty-evacuated from a sixth round replay after losing 19-18 on penalties. They're delusional enough to think they can win the cup based on that. If we'd been that keen to win it, Tomkins instead of Delaney would probably have done the trick; or Milivojevic instead of Riedewald; or anything involving Wilf. Yep very glad we're out of this competition which is pointless for teams like Palace.

Glad I never went to be honest. Nothing match. Still would have preferred to win than lose but only because it was Brighton. I am happy it wasn't a draw and another match to try and keep everyone fit. Could turn into a blessing, would be great if they get a few more injuries against Boro ! Means we will get a weekend off so more rest time at an important stage of the season. Quite happy with that really... It should also prove once and for all our priority in January has to be a new keeper!

I could maybe have expressed myself a bit better here but...beer.

Had there not been so much fuss about VAR (the more the hype the less I like), had the 4th round draw not been Boro away, had the match been scheduled for a much more reasonable time and without the nonsense coming out of the West Midlands, er, Sussex police, I'd have cared more. However, all of the above happened and I really couldn't care less about the result tonight. However, Palace needs to stuff the Weed on April 14 or whenever it gets played. That match definitely matters.
Divorced...And LOVING it! |

Unfortunately, Kakai is not going to make it. Yup, looked very out of his depth even with the weakened sides. Should've been bursting into the box on a number of occasions but held himself back. Shame really.

We need at least 4 new players GK Defender winger and a forward, let's hope we get the deals done early as our injuries are mounting up.

Honestly, I couldn't have cared if we lost 7-0. I think a 2-1 loss is a great result. I think losing with the last goal being bundled over the line is a particularly good result as there are very little bragging rights. The real bragging will be who beats who in the league and who finishes above who - not this FA Cup comp. Brighton want to see us relegated. Thanks to Parish and another sh1t start to the season Brighton ALREADY have the bragging rights. You think they are going to cry if we won that cup round and went down? We ALREADY, thanks to Parish, have the humiliating honour of a PL record for the worst start to any season in 100 years. So f@ck off with your stupid whining about this FA Cup result. We need to put all of our very limited resources (thanks to Parish) into avoiding relegation and kicking Brighton's arse in the PL, because if we go down and they stay up, THAT my friends, will be something to brag and cry about and they will NEVER let us forget it.
