It comes to us all in the end.

Did I mention that it comes to us all in the end?

Yes I heard him explaining it on 5Live. It happened in a rental property in S Africa. His closest encounter with a rat since John Fashanu.

I used to work on a ship for a number of years. As we sailed mainly in the tropics, we had many different animal intruders. Rats however are the only universally unwanted guests and the only animal with laws in place that effect all shipping vessels.

As part of my job I would have to find and kill any rats spotted on the ship (along with others.. it's not a 1 man job). If experience taught me anything, it was that while my shipmates could vary from genius to village idiot, I've never chased a stupid rat.
