Jules is a legend... fantastic goalie. He has made so many saves down the years and quality ones too, its no wonder he has won player of the season so many times. As for his greatest save... Gotta agree with others the save against brighton in the playoffs was amazing especially for it to happen in such a crucial game at such a crucial time. Great player and well deserved legend status.

A couple stand out for me:

Back when we were in the Championship we played Derby and I think it was a game in which Darren Ambrose scored the only goal - towards the end Jules made a fantastic save down to his right to deny Kris Commons, who in all fairness was fouled as he took the shot but we weren't punished for it.

Besides the Barnes one, there's a save that never gets mentioned which I think is Speroni's best - in our first season back in the Prem when we played Liverpool in the 3-3 Jules made a spectacular one-handed save to deny Daniel Sturridge, tipping the ball onto the post. I think that was better than the one he made against Chelsea in the same season that was nominated for save of the year by the BBC, but it probably didn't qualify because Liverpool could still have scored but Suarez blazed the rebound high and wide.

This is the one I mean: [Link]

Amazed the commentators didn't rave about it - kinda like Muzza's chest to Gayle for the equaliser.

The Brighton Barnes save is number 1

Number 2 for me has to be this [Link] Utterly ridiculous save.

A superb goalie and a very important Palace man.

A tremendous 'Servant' to the club and a thoroughly decent human being.
He is a man of unimpeachable integrity who cuts a figure of dignified propriety.
To have a restaurant named after him speaks volumes !

I seem to remember him making a double/treble penalty save against Bristol City in the play offs, that was pretty damn good

It was the league match, same season. Incredible double save.

Also a penalty save against Burnley to keep a point in the last few minutes in Premier League. Outstanding.

The Burnley save was fantastic. Astonishing. That point we got from the 0 - 0 draw had a huge impact on the season.

The other thing is the length of time he has served, 12 years and counting.I cannot think of another goalkeeper who has served more years than that for the same club...

Rogério Ceni at São Paulo. 25 years, over 1200 appearances and 130 goals from penalties and free kicks.
