The adverts for 'Go Compare'. I hate the blasted things and only watch to ogle the women in the kitchen.

I used to hate the Twix adverts in the 1980's.

They showed someone biting off a piece of a chocolate bar and then being disappointed as it was all gone. Their advert then said Twix was better because you get 2 bars.

But if you bite off a piece of a chocolate bar, you must still have some left!

Bank adverts especially Lloyd's bloomin' horse.....if it had been a white horse.......

Winning isn't everything. Without the defeats we would not value the victories. Still, it's a shame we can't play Chelsea every week.

Some adverts just mildly annoy me, but the current Nationwide one with the singing sisters actually consumes me with hatred, especially the face of the speccy, dark-haired one.

I have a savings account with Nationwide - seriously considering closing it.

In the immortal words of John McEnroe you cannot be serious.

If I were to post what I thought of someone who was seriously considering closing a savings account on the basis that they didn't like the TV advert I would have to give myself a yellow card

I agree that the advert is ear splitting. I also have an account with them that I'll be closing, for a better deal, not because of the s*** ad.

Of late I now find almost all radio adverts intolerable, I can only assume it's because I no longer have to watch TV ads 99% of the time and can't stand the lack of control. I end up changing stations about ten times trying to find anything but adverts, before generally going back to where I was.

Optimistic as ever

I can often drive all the way from the town centre, about a mile on urban streets, and hear nothing but adverts all the way on TalkSh!te.

The singing sisters. Christ that is the stuff threesome nightmares are made of.

The Halifax ones as well with the cartoon characters. Top Cat gets a loan for a dustbin - well good luck getting a mortgage on a movable house. Probably half the reason they got into the s*** in the first place - lending to unemployed cartoon cats and stoners with their dogs.

In fact come to think of it any bank advert. Here's an idea, why not show a clip of a branch at lunchtime without every window being shut as the staff are on a lunch break.

Oh and that and the bloke on the death plan adverts. *****

I can't listen to them at all. Happy to see you've used their official title though.

Yep, I don't mind some radio 2 and TMS is the best thing on radio.

They always seem to have something equally dull on in my times of need though. Law of the sod and that.
