why exactly is it ridiculous thread? its how football works, we have a player who if were honest will outgrow our club. at some stage in time a big club will come calling again. if i was wilf i would be happy earning circa £4m a year after tax and being idolised by the fans. but then im not in the position he is in where if he moves he could prob get a payrise & win trophies & play in the champions league. for what its worth i recon weve got another 18 months before he leaves

This is nonsense, but if Man City are interested tell them £300m plus Silva, Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne in exchange. In other words, Go fxxx yourselves. I think Wilf enjoys being a shark in a pond, not a minnow in an ocean. The ManUre experience will have hurt him, and he's a Croydon boy! If we have to match his wages go do it, if we can afford it. Replacing Wrighty with Gabbiadini was hardly a success and the day we can keep our stars is the time we know we are credible as a Prem Club. If we are to build to the next level we have to keep our best players and I'm sure Steve Parish understands that better than anyone, especially with his ambitious plans for the ground. Build a team around Wilf that can be the first Palace team to win a major trophy. COYP!

Thank you Brauny that's my point, Utd are not a charity for cpfc, they will always look after their own interests, it's the way deals are structured these days.

WHatever is being said I reckon Wilf will stay. Wont be long before we move higher up the table. Then either the Americans will buy Palace outright or another huge investor will grab us.

As we haven't even submitted the plans for a new stand yet, a new stadium would seem to be far into the realms of fantasy. What in the name of all that's holy does that mean? Are you still coming down off something you shouldn't have taken last night?
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Zaha is Palace. He should have his own stand. There were periods this first half of the season where many heads were down - but not Zaha's. He already is a Palace 'great', a living legend, and should remain at Palace until he retires. Could we have got up to 14th without Zaha? Can we avoid slipping back to 18,19,20th without him? Without his passion? Even with new January transfers I wouldn't want to bet on it.

Wilf is idolised here and that means a lot to a player. He loves the club as much as we love him. Top his contract up to 150k pw hes worth every penny and he will be set up for life. His love for the club and his friendship with SP could go a long way to him staying
