Last time a Palace player missed a penalty that bad was Puncheon, he went on to tear teams apart for months after that! If Benteke does the same, it could be a blessing in disguise....

Didn't Benteke miss the last penalty he took? It was at home last season and he tried a clever chip that wasn't so clever as it cleared the wrong side of the crossbar.

Sadly Roy’s not got the bottle to drop him One thing Roy has shown is the bottle to chop and change the team so I don't believe that's true. He saw Puncheon wasn't up to the job so duly dropped him. The alternative would to what? Sako up front? He's tried that and it doesn't work. If we had 1 other decent striker I'm certain he'd be dropped but we have no one to bring in. All in all I'm chuffed with Roy - from his press conferences, interviews, the way he conducts himself. We're lucky to have him.

Puncheon's continued absence from front bench should be a massive concern to both him and Board. So want to see Jason bounce back...
