Well I doubt he'll be playing Tuesday - Roy said that the keeper shouldn't be being beaten for the second and he's right. and I suppose your mate wayne would have saved it?? Not a chance.....neither keeper is good enough but Jules is better

Also there was an early header straight at him that bounced off him and luckily there was nobody following in. Sorry, but he's making too many mistakes. That's two home games in a row he's played where mistakes in first-half injury time have potentially cost us points. and how many games has wayne made mistakes that have cost us points?? Start you off with Villa

Which was 2 years ago - JS was yesterday. I fail to see the mistake. That was a thumping shot and neither keeper and most keepers in the premier league aren’t going to get near that. Not getting drawn into another debate with you and what’s done is done. You started a campaign to have JS replaced in goal the first time around. Now he is back and doing fine in goal you’re back to your old tricks. Just pointing it out. Not that I really need to. Edited by Brentmiester_General (10 Dec 2017 6.58pm)

Somewhat similar to that Kasami goal for Fulham. If we are doubting the goalkeeping for Kasamis goal, best goal I’ve ever seen, ever. Must be the best goal ever scored in London, let alone SE25. Then every goalkeeper is at fault for every goal.

I think the comments on here are all losing sight of the fact that Julian will become only the fourth Palace player ever to make four hundred appearances for the club. As a supporter of Palace for over 50 years I would have been happy to make one appearance at the 'Temple of Football'. Alas, I was never remotely good enough. That is why, in my opinion, we should treasure those who are. And, Speroni's number of appearances speak for themselves. My favourite Palace keeper ever was Jacko and I'll never forget standing behind the goal and seeing him somehow turn the perfect penalty around the post from Martin Peters, soon after Peters had become Spurs' then British record record transfer signing from West Ham for £200K. Likewise, I remember Nigel Martyn saving a penalty in a third round FA Cup Tie at Selhurst after he'd left us for Leeds. The Palace fans behind the goal all started chanting 'dodgy keeper' after the save and the big Cornishman turned around and gave us his massive grin, knowing that altho he wasn't with us anymore he was loved at SP. We should treasure our greats. This thread has nothing to do with Speroni against Hennessey. it is just about recognising that a player who has played 400 times for the club thro 'thick and thin' deserves to be recognised for his achievements. So, if you play on Tuesday Julian I will salute you and thank you for your massive contribution to our club. COYP

I had a school teacher who referred to Selhurst as the temple of football.
