Every season at least one club suddenly plunges from seemingly mid-table security into the relegation tussle. Huddersfield have looked suspect for some time, though their physical approach has done them well. Brighton are faring quite well but they should have looked more confident against the bottom team, and Burnley are really flying. I truly expect two of those teams to go into free-fall with Southampton, soon. Do you think last night was just a flash in the pan?

I really do not think that Everton will be relegation candidates, especially as Allardyce will be taking up the reins. They're now pretty much mid table with Allardyce. Not going to be relegated. Wouldn't be with a different manager after unsworth. Unsworth picked the team last night.

I haven't been privy to information regards his salary at Everton but perhaps financial inducements do not enter the equation. He seemed to cut a rather forlorn figure at our club and I wouldn't be surprised that he decided some way before the end of the season that he would depart, irrespective of whether we stayed up or were relegated.Perhaps couldn't wait to get away ! Regards last night, yes a good night for our club but there will be weekends and nights when results don't go in our favour.Plenty of twists and turns to come m'thinks.

He was pretty happy in the first half v Watford in his first match and at Bournemouth and after that home volley by zaha, but then realised what an amateur mess the previous manager left behind. No fitness, discipline or pride. He now has Rooney and Sigurdsson and probably a transfer kitty sitting mid table. Quite different to our half prepared efforts until someone with a clue comes in to save Parish and take the reigns of whoever he's hired or kept in the job too long. Things do seem to be turning our way.....but we’ve GOT to find a way to scoring more goals. Some good news on that front, from a Fantasy alert about RLC: The West Brom defence have conceded most shots (57) over the last four Gameweeks and have also conceded 11 goals in their last four outings at The Hawthorns.
A single point this weekend might see us up to 18th.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

So that's now three teams the market thinks are shorter odds than us to get relegated.
None of this "bottom at Christmas" rubbish; I think we'll be out of the drop zone before the Arse comes daan sarf.

Palace: 6 from 15 Yes, they're dropping, but they're going to have a soft landing on top of the dung heap at the bottom of the table. Having said that, their next 5 fixtures aren't horrifying - with the exception of Chelsea - but they're all games where a point would be a bonus: EVE (A), Weed (H), CHE (H), WAT (A), SOU (A). Plus which Wet Spam have played the new manager card and drawn a turkey. Swansea will probably go for Pulis but the problem there isn't the manager - it's the fact that they sold Gylfi and Llorente, didn't replace them, and brought in that Sanchez character who has turned out to be a dud. They probably have little funds for the coming window. In any case it's not even impossible to stay up if you're bottom on Christmas Day - it's happened twice, West Brom years ago at our expense and Leicester the other year, when they looked dead and buried even in March and not only got out of it but won the thing the following year.
Next 3 games for them look very tough and I can see it getting far more toxic there. I wouldn't right off the likes of Newcastle or Huddersfield entering the mix.

If we can get 6 points from our next 4 games, we'll be mid-table.

There are so many teams in it with a few on a very bad run.
