Crude price low, interest rates low and both keep a lid on outgoings. Wage growth low and the disconnect between house prices and wages will have to correct itself sooner or later. And we have record employment which is the key stat for me. As mentioned elsewhere I don't understand our productivity numbers when GDP is stable and unemployment low.

Britons were warned they are on course for the longest fall in living standards since records began 60 years ago after the U.K.’s fiscal watchdog took the ax to its outlook for economic growth. In an analysis of the government’s latest budget and accompanying report by the Office for Budget Responsibility, the Resolution Foundation said on Thursday that the economy is set to be 42 billion pounds ( billion) smaller in 2022 than the OBR predicted in March. It also calculated wages will not return to their pre-financial crisis levels of 2007 until at least 2025 once inflation is taken into account. Average annual pay is now projected to be 1,030 pounds lower in 2022 than the March forecasts and household disposable incomes will fall for an unprecedented 19 straight quarters between 2015 and 2020, according to Resolution. The analysis was reinforced by the Institute for Fiscal Studies, which said the OBR’s forecasts implied average earnings would be almost 1,400 pounds lower in 2021 than predicted before the 2016 Brexit referendum and still below their 2008 level. “We are in danger of losing not just one but getting on for two decades of earnings growth,” IFS Director Paul Johnson told a briefing in London on Thursday. Not sure if this factors Brexit in or not. Well done everybody who voted Tory. Thanks. Your own tramp leader Corbyn didnt want to be part of the union but changed his tune because of Party bias, and I know plenty of labour voters especially up north that voted for Brexit. Change the record Nick old buddy it's actually getting boring and you are turning into Rick from the young ones.

I'd actually put the fall in living standards down to the Tory government than Brexit, that will be felt soon though. So instead of a dead cat Corbyn argument how about telling me where I'm wrong about the Tories being culpable for the drop in living standards.

He'd have been bashed as not representing the labour party if he had been pro-exit.

Yeah, the Tories have capped spending just to annoy everyone. Spare me.

Tell me please how your mob of spend thrifts will fund the 17 billion a year on public services ?? borrowing again, and saddling future generations with that debt. We are now paying the price for the unchained borrowing during Labours last tenure, to deny that is naive and stupid, something you are not. so I will assume you are just being facetious. And how is it a dead cat argument. Your Illustrious tramp leader famously thought the EU and it's ideology was elitist and secular, I was merely pointing out that his massive you turn in favour of remaining in the EU, shows that he is not a man of principle and is in fact no better than the rest of the lying pit of vipers that is the house of commons. Now I'm sure you have some pamphlet's on Trotsky to deliver, wrap up warm buddy It's cold out there.
