In my opinion- luck at Palace, bad job at Stoke, bad job at West Brom

Sometimes I think it's just misunderstandings with you but when you post stuff like the above I just think you're trolling.

A manager who plays like Pulis is never the answer long term in my opinion but to say he was lucky at Palace and did a bad job at Stoke is absurd.

When West Brom hired him, they did it whilst prioritising safety. He has delivered that for them. They're now getting to the point of progression and he's run out of answers, as that brand of football will always have a sell by date. To suggest he's done a bad job though, given the briefing he was given, is also silly.

Anti football, shortsighted, s***house of a guy but I'd still bet my house on the fact that he'll keep West Brom up this season if they stick with him.

Nothing at all that I can thiink of. I love lovely old Roy. A fine man. And we'll still pop round regularly to see him, bringing some shopping, getting his milk in and fetching him a blanket. But Pulis is a different matter. Remember when he came and we had only the faintest pulse? All the Stoke fans telling us we'd be fine? "Don't be soft - we're screwed: no points, no idea, no hope. It's over." / "Nope. He'll keep you up, regardless." / "Nah, it's not possible." / "He'll keep you up, 100%. I guarantee it." And how.

So what price our principles(/future?)?

Well ask west Brom fans their opinion. We are best staying shot of him. Would only need replacing in 12-18 months anyway.

Won twice in 21 games for West Brom now and they’re in freefall. No thanks. Hope he stays there and gets relegated

So rating him for keeping us up is stupid as it was all down to luck....? My God, if FdB had 5 percent of his organization and match reading skills we would now not be in the relegation zone.
Not pretty to watch but that is a different matter entirely.

Nah, you've got to have standards and keep a modicum of dignity. Would take relegation rather than that.

Agree with this. As far as I'm concerned we battle to the bitter end with what we have.
If it ends up not enough we take our medicine.

It's not really a different matter entirely, as that's what he'd bring.

Personally I'd much rather take my chances with the fine football Roy has us playing rather than revirt our style to Pulis football, even if we stay up by his means it just sets the clock back on where the club is trying to go... i.e. A decent football team.

Im utterly shocked so many people seem to think Pulis would be better for our club than Roy and wonder if we had won yesterday would there views be the same.

Oh and luckily it doesn't matter what the supporters think as there's cats chance in hell Parish will employ Pulis again. Nil...

Yeah completely agree, people mock the club for sacking FdB so soon and yet now want to sack Roy who's frankly doing a great job!

And why.... so we can employ Pulis...

Can't not fathom any logic in any of that.... WTF only on HOL.

Where did that come from? I was just mentioning he did do a fabulous job keeping us up, nothing to do with wanting him back.

Yes my bad sorry you was comparing him to FdB and not RH, so you wouldn't want to replace RH with TP then?

If I was Chairman, I would be doing whatever it takes to maintain Premiership status.
If that means getting Pulis, then so be it. CPFC have already got Dougie on board.
Fine print in the contracts should be looked at in detail and amended to prevent any advance payments Any transfers to be scrutinised for nepotistic involvement

You can't burn bridges in business. You just have to learn by your mistakes.

Roy will be fine for us, though.

Roy is a much better manager than Pulis with a much richer pedigree. Why would we swap him out for a lesser manager?

Agree as he has a habit of going to teams in the mire and turning them around. Longer he stays there, the better. No chance of him rocking up here.
