I don't think they would let him go but Danny Ward at Liverpool played well last year at Huddersfield.

I never, ever want to buy another player from Liverpool. ...

We've given them the best part of 60m quid for 2 of their rejects that's why.

Sakho is class. If they rejected him because they didn't like his face, more fool them.

Sam Johnstone apparently

Right-footed keeper.

I recall having a conversation about Johnstone maybe 2 or 3 years ago and was informed that he was working hard on his distribution.
Evidently his distribution at present is good and he is capable in one-on-one situations.

I understand his Father was a keeper for Preston but I cannot recall his name or seeing him play.Sam himself played for Preston, signed on Loan from Man Utd by Simon Grayson.

I think this one may have legs. He is a good young keeper and united have another youngster coming through. However Villa are in driving seat he is on a season long loan which was reported to have a right to buy clause. It depends on if he fancies being a first team regular at Villa or coming to us where he may have to win his place. Roy is not sort of manager to drop incumbent if they are performing well

Man Utd apart from De Gea and Romero have a young keeper called Joel Castro Pereira and also young Dean Henderson who is on a season-long loan at Shrewsbury. Also young Kieran O'Hara who has just signed a new contract.

I hear rumours that Villa may be in breach of FFP rules so may not be able to buy anyone

Can we not just buy an actual improvement on the guy who's been here over 10 years.

Then buy a player who's an improvement on the one who's been here for about 5/6 years.

Then buy a player who's an improvement on Nameless No Striker who's been here 6 months.

And we can all be happy and hopeful of no atrocious distribution, no staying on your line like it's 100m Olympic final, competition for position, and a sub who's played around the important box area for hopefully a decade in his career so knows where to be to kick the round thing in the oblong shape at critical times

Whoop whoop
