No, not jealous. Have no reason to be.

Have you lost your sense of humour or is everyone in Balham uptight about it? A bit of self deprecating humour may have gone down quite well. Oh well.

No idea. I live in Jersey

On a more helpful note some of us do have to travel by train from London to the match. So after exploring the Southern website I've come up with the following :Trains depart London Victoria to Norwood Junction at 13.06/13/36/43 via Clapham Junction, Balham, Crystal Palace etc. There are definitely NO trains on Saturday between Victoria and Selhurst in both directions. Hope that helps.

If you're coming from Victoria, catch a fast train to East Croydon (it doesn't take long) and walk to the ground (about 40 minutes). very invigorating and good for the health. I often do it out of choice and also when the often-striking drivers on the stopping trains are at it again.

Nothing is fool-proof - fools are too ingenious

I remember when Caterham was semi-posh and nouveau riche territory.

Crime is low, virtually no graffiti, plenty of volunteer litter collectors (kenley too) to pick up after the teenagers eating their junk and the local teenage arsonist who burned down Queen's Park pavilion and empty homes went away somewhere years ago.

A broad range now and I'd say people moving further out due to finances or multiculturalism. Made me laugh in 2010 when the lib dem councillor said an old female staunch Tory voter was in panic because ''The blacks were coming.'' She'd go over the edge with the sprinkling of ethnic minorities in Kenley including a few wealthy Muslim families.

Full of cashed up chavs and pikies up there. Pubs are a hotbed if naughtiness.

Yeah I know, The King And Queen and The Surrey Hounds (new name I can't remember) are full of scvm and villainy and need closing down fast. The Fox and The Wattendon Arms in kenley are full of dregs as well.

Used to like the Wattenden. Problem with Caterham is the urban overspill. People escaping Croydon and Addo are making it Croydon and Addo.

Maybe some bits. Easy to avoid them.
