Holloway got us promoted so hardly 'worst', is he?

In recent times it's Taylor. What a let down. Devoid of any ideas, as we're the players

I would describe Burley as hasty and shoddy. Tried to play good football with people giving the ball away and nobody to cover it behind them. How many times did we concede from passing attacks in the final third?

Agreed. Holloway at least had charisma and i’ll always respect him for admitting he wasn’t the right man for the job anymore and walking away when he did rather than keep taking the pay check at the clubs expense. Results have been much worse under other managers and he’s not a contender in my book. Peter Taylor for me if Mullery out of the equation. Venables should have stayed in Spain rather than ransacking the coffers as well.

Taylor
Francis
Burley

Taylor especially. How he was appointed and spent the 8.5 million we got for AJ on sh!te players like Fletcher (Cort was the best he signed) still irks me to this day.

The Francis era was some of the most turgid and uninspired footballs id ever watched. Minus the 5-0 drubbing of the Weed.

De Boer has to be up there. Arguably he wasn't given enough time to develop in to the fully fledged clueless f*ckwit he clearly was, but I would argue the shortness of his stint makes his deccimation of the team even more impressive. He managed to alienate half the side, play the team in probably the least effective formation anyone could've imagined, all while seeming to not give one f*ck, and he did all that in 4 goalless games! It took Taylor two years to reach that level of sh*t!

If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4

I think we got promoted in spite of Holloway not because.
The game he was introduced to the crowd, can t remember the oppo, we played like Barca. As soon as he took over Dougies foundations of a team of leaders slowly unravelled. He did sign Phillips tho.

Blackburn
Best I've ever seen us play, what a game.

I think Roy H is the only person in the UK who would put up with us.

A manager knows that he no matter what plans he has, he has to be lucky.

Taylor and Francis were much of a muchness. Francis probably wins it though as he took a team at the top, playing some lovely stuff under Bruce and spun it in it’s head immediately having us playing complete and utter s***e.

Been going since 2000, for me the worst three are:
1. Burley: what a crap team he assembled, Garvan and Dorman in centre mid were pathetic. That 3-0 at Millwall on new years day (Puncheon hatrick) was unforgettably bad and was the final straw thank god.
2. Holloway: Turned Freedman's world beaters into headless chickens. If losing, just throw on every striker in the squad. It's not FIFA
3. De Boer: Fact he was sacked after just 3 league games says it all really. Trying to transform us into 'total football' over night was bonkers.

True. You don't have much of a chance when your best player and talisman is injured in your first game in charge and your expensive striker misses open goals or your midfielder gifts the opposition goals with suicidal back passes
