Hi I just saw on news now that spurs are putting the final touches to do a deal for wilf in january that suit both parties! I think he is vital and priceless for us for staying up. But if the powers that be do decide to sell 😠 what do you think his worth is I reckon 65 mill .. That News is from Harry Hotspur. Says Wilf has agreed personnel terms and it just the two clubs left negotiating the fee. I think we should let him go in return for Kane

As it stands at the moment, we are a 1 man team, lose him and we might as well call it a day in the Premier League. And that's not being dramatic, look at the difference he has made since his return, 4 points, top goal scorer and the talisman for anything creative we produce. This ^^. Not as if he needs the money - he's already on some obscene amount in excess of £100k per week. Nor is there any guarantee of first team football as he found at Man Utd.

£65m Plus Llorente. We get Llorente immediately but they don't get Wilf till the summer.
This club of mine constantly tests my loyalty but I as do many other fans never falter or crumble My loyalty to the Palace will never waver My unadulterated passion for a club I’ve grown up supporting wont die, and my desire to keep coming back and take the blows won’t succumb to negativity |

Having looked this up, it's apparently all from a bulls*** Spurs blog called 'Harry Hotspur', who has form for peddling nonsense. As if we're letting Wilf go halfway through the season.

You cannot blame him for wanting to compete at the highest level both in the Champions league and winning trophies and Premiership titles with a so called big club. Such a short career. Yes he may get a few run outs for Spurs in the (so-called) Champions League, but I can’t recall Spurs winning many trophies or Premier League titles of late.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Wilf is on £110k a week and I can't see Spurs offering more than this which probably means that Wilf will be a Palace player until we are relegated and can't afford him. Exactly that. Our valuation of Wilf + his wages means that he is going no where. He won’t go back to Manchester or Liverpool as he doesn’t like being away from home. Spurs won’t pay for him. He won’t fancy chelsea until he is guaranteed a first team place. Arsenal may be the only the only club that pose a threat in the summer.

Absolutely bulls*** story, nothing in it. Parish would be hung if this happened in Jan. No chance, and like Rudi said I can't imagine Wilf would leave us whilst we need him so bad. As for a price in the summer? I wouldn't want to try to replace him even if we had £65m. Also can't see Spurs beating the wage packet he's on. This maybe rose tinted glasses from me but I believe as long as we stay in this division there's a fairly good chance Wilf will stay a Palace man. I hope so. And if he does he'll always be known as our best ever. Also why sell him when year on year he's getting better and better. Don't sell rising commodities when he's on a five year contract.

I can almost guarantee this would be a deal agreed in January for Summer. If we go down there will be a lot of vultures circling Wilf and he will quite rightly want to leave. He'd probably have a choice of Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal. Possibly even United again with a change of management. Tottenham know that if they can stump up the cash in January, even without the immediate fruition of having Wilf, they have a squad good enough to do what they want this season and then next Wilf's name will be signed so he can't join elsewhere - worth it to them. I'd imagine a club like Spurs would be able to turn Wilf's head even if we stay up, so this isn't really a gamble if the money is right. It's not like we'll be kicking ourselves if we survive thinking if only we'd known we'd survive, Wilf would want to stay and fight ANOTHER relegation battle next year. Be a damn shame to see him go though. He's magic. Agree with you 100 percent . If we sell in january it's throwing the towel in. But on the other hand if anyone ever deserves to be playing in the champions league it's him. If I had a third hand I'd say maybe Tottenham could be trying to unsettle him ahead of Sunday's game. Try harder he's still gonna turn you in side out.
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |
