I'm starting to wonder if a prominent Palace figure has b.o.

They'll be fine if he keeps them up ... just like we were. Can't see him taking on another club myself but stranger things do happen. I never thought Roy would want to manage again.

What is it with people on here. This obsession with people who have left the club.
Keeping on about Allardyce, Murray, Pardew and Pulis. They have no interest in the club anymore, so why is anybody bothered what they are doing. They have no influence on the club and aren't going to help get us back on track.

In press conference today journalists pressed the Everton chairman and, by elimination, worked out the short list.

Pressed to confirm or deny if Dave Bassett was on the short list, the chairman was forced to concede, yes, Dave Basset was being considered.

The same happened when he was asked about Trevor Francis.

The chair was ten forced to admit that, no, he had not ruled out Alan Mullery as a potential manager.

Asked if Alan Pardew was being considered, the chairman sat out his drink and shouted. "You're having a f***ing laugh aren't you?"

So what? They are part of this club's history and therefore most fans have an interest (whether positive or negative) in what they are up to.

Maybe Parish could let him keep the £2m if he gives us 6 points... sure good old sam would be up for that...

Sam kept us up and left early enough to give us plenty of time to sort ourselves out, so I can't feel too outraged.

I'm very doubtful that Everton would go for him though, unless it was just until the end of the season.

Ok, lets get it right about Sam

We have everything to THANK him for
He did a magnificent job , and because of him we are still in the division , have Luka and we built a relationship which led us to getting Sakho
He retired because he clearly didn't wanna struggle every week
And he knew that Parish wasn't gonna go out and buy

Everton are struggling right now
But are a big top 8 club year in year out
Leave him alone , let him have his go at a top club !!!

Would that be the same Sam Allardyce that kept us up, against the odds, last season? Did you expect him do it for free? He had a break clause in his contract and chose to exercise it, for which I personally don't blame him. He let us down gently (and early); would you have preferred him to say "I can't work with the control freak that runs this club any longer"?

Strange how control freaks can't work with control freaks. You'd think that would make them understanding?

Alladyce has always said if it was one of the big clubs he'd be interested and like it or not Everton with the money they have are a big club. The biggest he would have been in charge of. Everton won't go for him, he's not sexy enough for a billionaire owner.

This, all day long. And they're in the NW where Sam's roots are. £2M in our bin towards a new keeper (please) and BFS back in work. I have no problem with that and I'm surprised anyone else does.
