MOTD did not show it in slo-mo or from any other angles. I watched the match on a stream where they did show it from several angles, and he definitely stuck his leg out across Wilf's thigh to send him off balance, from which he stumbled and went down. Bang on penalty according to both commentators and the 2 studio guys.

Plus he then helped him over with his hands on his back. That alone is a pen.

With the sad departure of M*rk C*ntenf*ck, Willo has a new hero in the shape of the wretched Bobby Madley. In the pen incident with Fonte, Wilf tried to jump over Fonte's leg to avoid accusations of diving and being booked, as per C*ntenf*ck in the Watford match last year. Wilf couldn't jump high enough so went down anyway, but Madley didn't give it in on the grounds that it was Wilf who was fouled.

I must admit that I was surprised that Madley gave us the pen in the second half. That too looked marginal but maybe he was evening things up for the Wilf non-pen in the first half.

One hears all this fluff about "Evening things up" in local football which is in the minds of supporters but not the referee.

Regards the penalty that was given, certainly not "Marginal" for me and Bobby Madley couldn't have been better placed to see it.And No, I never thought that the incident with Zaha merited a penalty.

Just seen Bobby Madley's brother Andy referee the Birmingham v A.Villa game and he did very well.

That makes everything all right then.

There has been no "Wrong" to put "Right" as far as Bobby Madley's performance is concerned.

And I just mentioned Andy as a supplementary comment.

Willo , out of interest , if you are watching the Leicester v Everton game , should Everton had been awarded that penalty ?

Clear penalty. Comes across and catches Wilf's trailing leg, so of course it's a penalty. Honestly cannot work out how anyone sees it different. Wilf was bundled over, the completely natural fall gives it away. No wonder we get f*** all when so many just bend over and say OK ref f*** me again.
Even more of a penalty than the one the incompetent t*** did give. Totally changed the game, but that's OK cos Willo agrees with the inept t***.

I've made my view clear about the Zaha incident.

And NO I dont share the view that Madley is "Incompetent" and "Inept".
And Yes the penalty he did award us was totally justified and he was well positioned to see the contact.

Here we go again. Madley is the new Clattenburg and Willo has fallen right into line.

Bobby the inept t*** Madley even told Wilf there was contact, but apparently not enough to warrant a penalty for a full speed Zaha. What a f***ing joke, on the halfway line the coward gives it 11 times out of 10. There was no more contact on Andros, but by now Madley knew he was an incompetent prick and tried to even things out. As usual you will never have me agreeing with you and your ridiculous defence of the indefensible.
Basically the real reason he bottled a big decision is cos he knew Fonte was the last man.

zaha fell far to easily dangermouse, i absolutly worship the ground zaha walks on but he does it quite a lot, its not just him, theres losds of players who do it, they try to manipulate set peices/pens by making the most of challenges. unfortunatly refs now are trained to see it.

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, thank f*** it worked against watford in the play off final.

and it didnt matter if fonte was the last man, havnt the rules changed, you cant give a penalty & a red anymore?
