He has shown when fit he is a quality player but I have no confidence that he will remain fit for long once he is back!

Big Ben & Wickham are too similar players & you can't play the 2 together.I know he has played on the wing for Blunderland but I wouldn't play him there & he is not a starter for me which is a good job because he is injury prone.

when fit, wickham is quality and deserves a chance to prove his worth.

its easy to put him down but hes a very good 2nd striker

We need a striker with pace not a big target man

Had he been kept fit he could have been our number one striker

When we bought him I quoted a Sunderland fan saying he was a sick note. I got loads of grief for those comments. It’s a shame we didn’t pick up on his fragility before splashing the cash.

Don't think he's lacking in ability, strength or pace clearly a very good player.

Not so sure about his temperament or desire at times although obviously sad to see him pick up such a bad injury.

Connor has been really unlucky with injuries since he's been with us, he wasn't a "sick note" before he came here and there was nothing that could be done about his cruciate.

Can't wait for him to be back, he's a good player who has scored some decent goals and gives it his all.

Well said Connor,
we look forward to your return next season or the season after (if you still have a contract)

Looked good today. Brief cameo, but looked a lot more aware positianally than Alexander, some nice little link ups, if he manages to stay fit, I fancy him to be our main striker this season.

yes, even in that brief spell you can see the quality and awareness compared to Benteke and Sorloth, fingers crossed he stays fit

I am praying to god we can get Conor back to full fitness and firing on all cylinders this season.. 6 foot 3 and a lot more mobile than Benteke and Sorloth. There is no reason why he wont be our main man up top.

Sorloth is not a premiership player and never will be. I actually cringe when I watch him play. Awful in the air and absolutely useless on the deck.

Agree with this. He missed very little football due to injuries before joining us. Those that think he was a sick note before are ignoring the facts.

Wow really? He looked great today- that goal was a rocket banger. Still fuming over that disallowed cheski goal too. Hes a real big lad so he does look a bit slow, but hard to disposses. He completely trucked Dembele against spurs- no easy feat.
