I agree with midlands eagle..I posted about this subject ages ago and was similarly criticised. Time to get behind the manager and not get behind the times with such so called banter. And also Big Bang theory is not funny at any point regardless of stammers and speech impediments.

Don't they make fun of speech impediments on the ,"The big bang theory"? Yeah but the Big Bang theory happens to be one of, if not the least funny show on television.

There is a difference in a generality and a personal comment. If you think your schoolboy humour is funny, fine. The real problem, isn't what type of humour school boy or not but the wasted energy of the political correctness patrollers or the hurt carers. The danger of this outrage phenomenon is that, in the process of policing every sensitive subject, we lose comedy itself — one of the only tools we have to grapple with our testiest issues. Humour is an entryway unlike any other for talking out things we're too afraid, too uncomfortable or too pained to tackle head on. If we can't joke about issues such as ethnicity, sexuality, disability, class, politics, pain and death, we may never get through them or find ways to heal

I'd be surprised if Hodgson gave a toss about people referring to him as "Woy" on some internet forum somewhere. Seemed to be perfectly OK to refer to his predecessor as "De Bore", though. Funny that. Perhaps different rules apply if you're s***e? And they're still broadcasting the Only Fools and Horses epsiode about Tony Angelino who can't sing songs with Rs in them. It was on UK Gold the other week. "No-one who can't pwonounce their R's have ever become successful", Angelino complains. But he gets a contract and Hodgson got the England job. So there. Its not about being politically correct its about not being an ass. Roys just pulled of a minor miracle in turning around the team from what we saw at old trafford to sat afternoon and instead of giving him the plaudits he deserves guys still come on here and make fun of him. And the fact that the sun and big bang theory employ these methods of "wit' should be a surefire indicator that it aint funny at all.
