Nah I do t go to pubs where people get put in a and e and good luck if you think anyone you know would or could do it.

We won't if we're cut adrift come January 1st. The only ones who will have the money are the Yanks and judging by the close of the the summer transfer window it looks like they have already said "No Mas". What makes you think the American investors are making the decisions ? And had the club not left everything until the last minute, we could potentially have signed Tosun and definitely the Everton striker had we paid his agents fees.

They wanted a fee from Everton who told them to poke it as well. Not everything can be pinned on SP messing things up. As easy a scapegoat as they might be. If people have more time, they can explore other potential targets. We do too much activity last minute so it leaves the possibility of their replacements not happening because they're effectively doing the same and so on and so on. You iust can't expect to get away with it in crucial areas forever, as Parish has found out.

nice to see you supporting the ownership brightonmeister. fair play to see you positive makes me laugh how so many fans are pining after a player they had never heard of (and dont lie saying you watch the turkish league) until his name arrived in the media. nobody watches the turkish league, tho im sure willo has contacts. personally, im quite happy we didnt spunk £10m on this striker as in our history, this sort of desl never works. walter del rio or nicky rizzo anybody? saying that rizzo did score a screamer!

Rizzo wasn't that expensive was he? There were others who were. But the point is Luca was scouted, I hope, and what a signing. Did we scout Cenk? I'd hope we did. Therefore why can't it be a success? I didn't know about him before but I knew a few days later he belted one in v Porto from 40 yards and has been regularly since. It's not our job to watching matches from 14 leagues and liaising on players. It's the club's. We should trust them to be doing it and they should be sure on whoever early enough. Either that or operate like the dog and duck or wait for when we can afford another proven prem striker and hope Benteke is always available for 24 months.

The stories aren't that we are watching the player but that we will be looking to buy him in January. If it's true, who is driving the purchase as we probably started looking at him under Sam's rule then negotiated for him under FDB's management yet we are now on to our third manager and are still supposedly interested in buying him so I repeat - who is driving the deal from our end as I doubt whether it is Roy

Someone on flexi-time? I know what you're saying. If a lot of signings are done above the manager's head and Frank's days were numbered more than a week before the deadline, why wasn't it done more urgently. And also, if Freedman is comfortable sitting with Parish and waiting on Frank's plan to turn round the pathetic start, why wasn't he emphasising how important, erm, how stupid it is to have 1 striker and risk solving it on the last day when it's a first team striker?
