A statement saying what exactly? That the start of the season has been an elaborate practical joke? There is little that can be said I'm afraid.

Parish has stated he won't apologise. There would be no point in Parish apologising anyway. It wouldn't achieve anything.

He is probably happy just going along with things as they are picking up his 650K salary and waiting for the chop which will surely come if the Americans are really interested in our club!

Exactly what damage has he done ? We were promoted with him as Chairman. The best two managers in our recent history both walked out without us ever having the chance to make plans for a replacement. I do not understand some people's logic. Last season we had no cover for left back and that was Pardew's fault. This season we have a completely unbalanced squad, with 8 centre backs and just one striker and that's apparently Parish's fault. I am sure SP is a hands on Chairman, maybe too much at times, but our current problems with our squad is the fault of De Boer. He had plenty of time to address what was required and report to SP with what he considered we needed to move forward. The fact that this did not happen is probably one of the reasons why he was dismissed.

Pardew and Parish are responsible for the left back position. You also left out def mid, unless you think Flamini is a replacement for Jedi. Parish extended Delaney and seems to think Campbell is good enough. We then sign Riedewald and Mensah and then Sakho. Didn't Parish start to wonder how striker would be solved, or have any feelings of deja vu from 12 months before? There was some sort of rush by Frank, p1ss poor application by him, yes. But where was Parish? On holiday mostly. But it's okay because there's the telephone and Skype. I do not believe that companies concerned of operations either leave it until it's so late and too late, or rely on Skype. Parish, Pardew and Frank are responsible for why we're more than likely going down.
