yea i used to get so excited when it was match day ,you just never knew which way it would go but you could be sure they would put in a good shift yanic on one wing wilf on the other , you couldnt plan for them ever since yanic went to everton its all been an uphill struggle . i used to get so pissed off and sulk and be in a bad mood for the rest of the day even the dog got told to pissoff . now the way i see it the board obviously dont care about the club so why the f*** should i , im not going to waste my time or money going to see them any more i have wasted so much of my life supporting a yo yo club , i wish parish would sell it to the Chinese and buy good players and get in a good manager , oh yea i put 30 euro at 1000/1 for palace not to win a game all season as a joke bet. its going well for me so far ,

I am one of those that sometimes gets depressed, especially when a game goes OK at the start and then deteriorates. But also I just love the thrill of the unexpected and the feeling that we all need to pull together.

It's a part of what we have been brought up to. Not much success but never ever a dull moment. And great gallows humour.

When we abruptly turn it all around during the Christmas break think of what a wonderful feeling that will be.

There is a tablet you can take for that. Our team finds it difficult to maintain possession of a ball . Shame there ain't a tablet for that . Boom

I suffer from Tinitus, but compared to the suffering of being a palace fan it's a doddle!!

This is all very reassuring as others are affected by following Palace too. I sleep OK, but if I wake in the night, instead of the hassle of work keeping me awake (I'm now semi-retired) I start working out potential points for Palace- which has always been beyond prediction anyway. I don't get snappy with my wife, but have also avoided Match of the Day for the whole season so far. Watching a few live games in other divisions: Sunderland losing to Sheffield United & my local side Lincoln City in division two has reminded me of what the lack of a close emotional bond to the team you're watching can do for the pleasures of watching a game of football.

Affects my mood. If we win I watch all coverage. If we lose I don't watch any football related programmes. Winning does make my mood a whole lot better.

I'm not gonna lie, this thread has made me more depressed about the situation. Seeing all you miserably old gits even more miserable makes me sad.

Yes, times are dire, horrible and utterly frustrating, but we are Palace; we should be used to this rollercoaster. How did everyone feel when we lost 4-0 to Sunderland? Contrast that to when we then beat Hull 4-0 - I was over the moon.

I can say when Punch took the lead in the FA Cup final, that was the happiest 5 minutes of my life. Okay, we lost, but was not even a year and a half ago and the whole experience was great - how many other teams have had that?

The frustration I think is the biggest factor in all of this, and I agree, I am utterly fed up with the switching of managers and lack of organisation - I hate the performances on the pitch. But I don't care, because I love the banter with mates on my way to the game, I love the pub before, I love singing next to my slightly younger nephew, I love the abuse of the refs, I love the local ale, I love the s***e state of the AW, I love that we've got Wilf, I love that we have some of the loudest fans in the country despite our small fanbase... There is plenty to love, you just gotta reminder yourself of it.

Love it well done mate . Pissed off as I am I will never forget that feeling of sheer and utter joy at the hull game . Right up there as being one of the best days of my life. Well done .

One bonus of our poor run is deciding not to watch Jug Ears on Match of The Day and the other soppy clown that is Shearer.
