If the lad has a howler it could destroy his professional confidence for ever. Better to play him in a less important game against lesser opposition. Its what a responsible coach would do. But I guess you are only interested in the slim slim chance of a result eh? Sod the lads career!
And I cant believe you are comparing him to Rooney! Really?

He's 24. When should he get a chance? If he doesn't get a start soon he won't have a professional career will he, back to non League.
Yes I do buy a lottery ticket, if you don't I have better odds of winning it than you.
He won't get eased into a premier league team, as a former conference player. Sink or swim.
If he performs for us I'm interested in his career, if he doesn't , not bothered

But are you not only mentioning the negatives?

It could be argued that nobody expects anything from him at Old Trafford so he can go fill his boots without worrying about the end result.

When exactly is the right time to give someone a chance? In a nothing game once you're safe (or already relegated) so there's little reason to expect any kind of performance from the team. Maybe when it's s*** or bust & we must win to stay up. How about when we have absolutely no other alternative.

This game, like Citeh & Chelski, has been referred to as a free hit by just about everyone so why not? I know I'd give up a kidney for the opportunity if I was in his shoes.

Ladapo is raw , but I think could also be a handful up top...given a chance who knows....does he just need the chance like Vardy ?

NO!

What has really a rookie to be afraid of after our dismal start? He can't do anything worse than missing a sitter - at least he will play his socks off and give it a go. Then put on Sako for the last 30 minutes....

Clutching at straws, nowhere near PL standard. Vardy had the chance to play in League 1 and The Championship. Spoke to an Oldham fan a while ago who said he was rubbish. We're a joke.

I'd like to see him given a chance. Just purely for the whole romance of it all. This type of thing rarely happens in today's game. Imagine him booming one in with our first attack at Old Trafford. The f***ing roof would come off the place.

I agree with you (a rare occurrence). What's the point in signing these players if they're never given a chance?

What is there to lose playing hime at Old Trafford??
He is 24 for Chr*st sake. He is not a kid.
Who would not dream of that opportunity.
He can't do worse than Benteke......0 goals.
So why not??
All this business of it ruining his career I don't buy.
He will have a hell of a day out and should really enjoy it.
Bring him on for the next few games.

Perhaps he could keep defenders busy whilst others score then? Well, it could work couldn't it? Couldn't it?

A lot depends on how bad (or good) they were as teams - if he had no support or service than not so bad.

Maybe he could be the new Campbell?
