He may do a lot of talking and pointing, but does anyone actually take any notice? Think it was the Swansea game where we had a free kick just outside the box. Cabaye picked the ball up but puncheon told townsend to take it. They both ignored him and cabaye took it....

Zat right? In which case he's even less use than I thought.

The real problem with that free kick was that Milivojevic was not on the pitch.

I feel sorry for Punch, he's putting in 100% and you can see he's desperate to put in a good performance but you can see the pressure to deliver is just heaping more pressure on him...its a negative downward spiral.

Bloke desperately needs a goal to take that pressure off, sure we'll see a different player after that.

First thing he should have done when he signed Sakho was to appoint him as captain and drop the out of form captain.
Give one or two of the youngsters a go, so far, they haven't let us down.
Is there an out of contract striker to partner Benteke in a 4-4-2 formation. We will not score goals with the big man on his own up front. Some has got to feed off him, what about the other Sako who scored the other night? We can't wait until January, I fear it will be too late. Sorry for my negativity!!!

The more he plays the worse it will get I think right now.

We'd be better off taking him out of the side for a few weeks. I reckon Punch is far more likely to get a goal coming off the bench after a break.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

no thanks, captaincy is a poisoned chalice. i would rather Mama concentrate on his own game naturally, than take on the whole teams responsibility.

Maybe Dann or McArthur ?

Puncheon is still club captain. But it was good he was dropped finally.

I completely disagree.

I've seen this situation many times throughout my life, not only in football but in other businesses too.

A new boss gets hired and makes a new signing the captain, leading to resentment among the incumbent players, especially the older and more experienced ones, who feel that they have been looked over, the result of which is discontent in the dressing room.

Think about it - how would YOU feel?

I always plump for the senior defender as captain, so if Delaney's not in the first XI, then it has to be Dann.

Let Sakho put a few years in, before he's even considered.

I'm not sure who should be captain but definitely not Dann, it totally destroyed his game last time and he's still not recovered.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

For real? we've been there and Dann melted as Captain, even Dann i'm sure would agree, the arm band shouldn't go to him.

Lets remember the players did apparently beg for Sakho to be signed, they know and respect his class. Don't think it would put any noses out of joint.

Also we're talking about a player who was captain of PSG first team at the age of 17! He's a born leader.. People only get pissed when they think someone has taken there job, in this instance theres clearly a vacancy that so far none of them have been able to occupy.

Sakho, nailed on captain material in my mind.
