There is a sense of entitlement though.
It's only/we should beat Huddersfield, Swansea, Burnley is a constant refrain. People forget they are thinking the same, "It's only/we should beat Palace".
No gimmes in this league, unless you play us.

I agree there's an irritating sense of entitlement around, but Calder is right - SP is acting in a rather erratic way, contrary to the stability and (sometimes excessive) carefulness which we're used to.

Interesting to read Steve's comments.I don't do all that Twitter and twitting.

When I look back over the years and the 6,000 crowds and when the £75K we spent on Bright seemed like a fortune, also more recently to the days when we almost folded as a club, I can understand where Steve is coming from.

We have made enormous strides since those dark days, playing to capacity crowds, being known worldwide and paying multi-millions for footballers. This can all be lost amongst the current tribulations in terms of results.

And most of that £75k came from the supporters who paid into the Golden Eagles (Lifeline).
Some of us still paying into it to support the Academy.

Frankly, if I was having to take as much in public criticism and insults as SP, think I'd bite back now and then too!

Maybe quite a few on HOL are too young to recall those days.

This paupers grateful, he's lead us to heights i didn't think we'd reach like 5 years in the prem, FA cup final and spending big bucks on players.

nah Willo being young isn't an excuse for these f***ing morons. They are either new fans only supporting us as we are in the prem or morons one of the two.

Parish should be off twitter it's as simple as that. Goading supporters, it's never been so good. Instead of buying Stella signings, we should improve the squad depth. The academy trains at goals, the gutter still leaks in the homesdale. When we're breaking records for all the wrong reasons. Parish out

There was a time when Selhurst was just a clearing in the wood.

That's what Sel (clearing) Hurst (wood) means in Anglo Saxon.

I'm sorry, the history book doesn't say what Palace should be doing though

On a slight tangent, I just had visions of the 2020 (film rights etc) movie release of biography drama soccer epic, where against all odds, a football team retained its top flight status after a start of eight games, eight defeats and no goals. Sean Bean plays the clubs renegade chairman and its titled, 'you win none, you score none'.

He has much right to be on twitter as anyone else. There's plenty of people on this site that goad. I don't see people's problem, if he's vocal he gets s***, if he's quiet he still gets s***.

I'm no parish sympathiser but the amount of people jumping on every comment is pathetic. The hol is a horrible read at the moment.

Agreed up to a point some of his Twitter ramblings don't make sense a bit like some of your transfer speculations !!
