You cant blame Parish for the Sahko saga. That is down to the selling club. Liverpool held all the Aces.

That is not quiet true, SP was trying to get him for a knock down price which was way below Liverpools asking price, had he come up with the deal that he eventually secured Sakho for, then he may have come in much earlier and would have been match fit by now and could featured in some of the games already played. The question is why did SP not have option to buy clause in the loan contract, when he was with us in the second half of last season as a loanee?

Never go into the second-hand car business.

Steve Parish is no fool, but I think he's had a huge run of luck since 2010 took over. And that luck looks like it's run out.

My big concern with him is that in our 5th consecutive season in the Premier League the club is in a mess which is largely of his making ( in my opinion ). No lessons learned from the events of recent seasons.

If the worst happens and we go down then I think he will have to deal with two very angry Americans - I imagine they are already questioning his judgement.

This thread is full, yes full of complete and utter rubbish.
Every club in the premiership gets roughly the same income from tv money. The majority of clubs in the premiership are also bankrolled by rich owners.
Every team is competing for the best players available.
We are not an attractive option and often pay ovrt the odds because that is the only way we can get the level of player needed.
Every team has occasionally, and some often, bought players for considerable sums that have not been successful.
Every year three teams will get relegated and always include at least one 'established' prem team.

The majority of teams in the prem have better infrastructure and therefore greater income and lower costs than us.

Just because we get income, does not give us a divine right to stay in this division.

The majority of the board decisions have been good ones and therefore we have achieved a longer run in the prem than we have done before. The previous top-flight record ended in 1972, 35 years ago. Yes, those of you new to CPFC we achieved 4 seasons in division 1 that ended 35 years ago. So we are doing brilliantly well and the board deserve better than the sh** they are getting on here at the moment.

It's not the 'Board' who are the subject of vitriol and vituperation but Steve Parish.
Understandable as he is the face of the 'Board' and in the spotlight.

When results are very disappointing, supporters find someone to blame and if it isn't the manager or players it is the owner or Chairman etc etc.Outpouring of dis-satisfaction and complaints covers all aspects of a club.

Personally i think hes up his own arse and needs to remember his job is to sign the cheques, not tell his managers how to manage their team or pick players in the transfer windows.
Stick to what you do best parish and leave the football side of thing's to the people who know the game.
Clearly you don't even know you think you do.
COYP!!

It makes me laugh with hen people bang on and on about him saying vintage the club. It was a business investment that he was always looking to profit from nothing else. If this was not the case he would not have said no deal unless it involved the ground and threatened to walk away and let Palace die unless the Freehold of Selhurst Park was on the table.
Yes, he saved the club but he has retained a healthy shareholding AND made a massive profit when selling a chunk to the Americans. Businessman, out for himself. Don't be fooled by the fact he is Palace Chairman. He is in it for his ego and for what he can get
