The UK is ranked 23rd 'Happiest' nation and Japan 53rd. Good judgement call, Stirling. Again. Edited by Kermit8 (14 Sep 2017 4.27pm)

No, thanks. Japan - where workers don't even know if they are going to get paid and have no redress if they don't. Japan - where stress levels are extreme and 80hr working weeks common. Japan - where the sexualisation of children is everywhere and where it was legal to view child p***.graphy until 2015. Japan - where communities don't really exist anymore and a third of single women live in poverty which means abortion rates are nearly twice that of the UK. My Japanese brother-in-law is a lot less stressed working and living in London than he was working and living in Tokyo. Edited by Kermit8 (14 Sep 2017 10.27am) Answer the points in the video Kermit. Japan isn't perfect but as it says in the video the picture people like you paint is a false one. What is true is that Japan is cohesive and happy to remain so. It's also doing well economically. Edited by Kermit8 (14 Sep 2017 4.27pm) Whatever factors are causing that they aren't due to their low immigration policy. Social repression is apart of their culture and while it has certain good affects....as seen in their crime rate...I'm not a fan of social repression. However, on immigration, whenever they have been asked they have rejected it heavily......They see the effect on societies you push. The video counters your points....answer them.

Sure...I like both America and Japan....Very different countries with very different problems. The money point is valid I suppose. I'm also a big fan of the Beatles.....Unfortunately I don't think they would have been a fan of some of my politics....But you can't have everything. Also, I'm not sure how this happiness metric is being measured....I'm pretty sure that if the Japanese knew how people like yourself would be using that statistic they would probably reject your position.
