Maybe he could have allowed Pulis to manage the team and transfers.

Yeah, then we could have had Peter Crouch instead of Wilf.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Thanks.

Thought Pardew made a couple of fair points not least the fact that we looked clueless defensively at times.

He never recognised that when he was our manager?

The only thing he recognised were female workers in pencil skirts in away exec rooms or girls in black and whites serving meals and drinks.

You can safely say he never lost the un-dressing room.

Will never feel the animosity towards Pardew that many on here felt. He went 6 months too late but still gave us the closest thing. To consistentcy when he was doing well. His first 12 months are probably the most enjoyable I have experienced in the top flight. Signed some great players for us. The Jedinak treatment is the only thing that really irked me on a personal level.

Indeed he didn't. What I meant was that every pundit or commentator rattles on about giving the change in playing style a chance etc which obviously has some relevance but simply gloss over or don't discuss the fact that we looked an utter shambles at the back a lot of the time.
