Rickie Lambert maybe

Is it not more the case that we need someone similar in style to Benteke so that we do not alter the style of play? If you keep playing the same way without Benteke but with for example Dwight Gayle then that won't work. If however you have someone who pulls short, is good in the air, can hold the ball up etc (like Benteke) - then the only thing lost is goals scored - similar to Murray and Wilbrahim, however the team still knows what it is doing and doesn't have to change it's style and as such finds other ways to score but doesn't lose its organisation -which right now we would if Kaikai was playing centre forward as his game is completely different - hence a total change in tactics. We need someone like Lambert until January I suppose - if Benteke doesn't get injured then great -if he does - well we carry on same as before. It doesn't have to be Lambert - it should just be someone in that mould.

I used to like him, good finisher but he's finished at the top level, prefer Jay Rog though

Lambert is in his mid 30s and he only made 5 apps for Cardiff from the start of 2017 until the end of the season,scoring no goals in that period.Not sure how many of these 5 games were as a substitute.
