Its beginning to look like he has been given a reprieve in that no sacking before Burnely. If the team performs well (and gets points) then it could be the turning point we all need. If the team performs well but loses, he still, might get a couple of gams to turn things around. If the performance is as bad as the Swansea one, get rid. But the real challenge for FdB is to get the team to perform well,at home. Big Sam managed to improve home performances and that is what FdB has to do.

And one big difference: Pardew at least had points on the board, we barely were in the relegation zone under him. Now we have played 2 teams favorite for relegation at home, and were beaten in messy, disjointed, disheartening displays.
I had my worries from the beginning, the possession/control attitude not suiting us. What further bugs me no end is that he has not grown up with the 3/5 on the back and this wing back s***. He has brought up with guess what..... 4 at the back, and 3 players upfront with distinctive wingers. It's a miracle to me the press is not jumping on that.
Of course I would like him to succeed and I hope he sees the light, plays 4 at the back on Sunday, Milo in his strong position as DM and ADAPTS to us and the PL not assumes the adaption should be the other way around. Time is running out though, we all know it; even people stating it is ridiculous to consider sacking a manager this early.

Parish didn't give a s*** when Pardew couldn't win a football match.

Why is FDB not being given the same amount of time?

Good that's what's needed and our two best players fit again.

Totally agree. Maybe, just maybe FDB was not Parish's choice. Whatever I would like to see him getting a bit more support (FDB I mean)

Well if he didn't hire him, how can he fire him?

The only people that said he might / would get sacked before the Burnley game were the media who traditionally write that sort of rubbish about every club languishing at the bottom plus the huge number of knee jerkers on here.

He can't be given a reprieve if his job wasn't under threat in the first place

Conte got of to an awful start at Chelsea and folks were questioning his abilities but he was savvy enough to change things after a few games. There's no shame in it. I'd like to think FDB will do the same and everyone can untwist their knickers and pull them up.

Agreed Conte did it the other way Chelsea started with a 4 then he dropped Ivanovic went to a 3 and the rest is history.

Why sack him a couple of days before the next game? Nonsense.

This time last season we'd got one point on the board courtesy of Dann's injury time equaliser after we spent the last 15 mins of the game against Bournemouth pumping balls at his head. We then had a three game winning run with Benteke in the side.

Don't think de Boer will be gone before Sunday but the manner of the defeats at home against the might of Swansea and Huddersfield and body language of the players has been on a completely different level to anything we saw even during Pardew's worst moments IMO.

What I meant was, maybe it was the Americans who wanted a "big name".

What Rachid said. Not such a different start & we had already had over 6 months of dross the previous season (FA cup aside).

There was far less anger then.

We saw it at the end of Pardew's reign and the beginning on Sam's. Remember the 0-4 drubbing to a truly awful Sunderland team?
