Add West Ham to the list, they're not looking too clever at the moment. I also think Bournemouth could struggle as they don't seem to have addressed many of their deficiencies from last season. I think Brighton and Newcastle will both be in a lot of trouble this year. Swansea's signings and manager will be enough to keep them up. Same for Watford. West Brom will be closer to Europe than relegation this year. We are most definitely in the bottom 5 clubs at the moment though.

My major concern is how much we will have to spend next summer if we stay up. Assuming we need to spend some money in January (10m/15m/20m), and our spending last January caused a knock on into this window, where does that leave us ? We have more players out of contract or entering their last year and 2 players on loan who could prove to be very important this season (TMF & RLC). The going rate for a decent player has been somewhere around 20m and we may need 5 or 6. Cabaye out of contract, Joel out of contract, McArthur out of contract, Wayne out of contract, Bakary Sako out of contract, Jules out, loans going back. Going to need some serious expenditure and we won't want to be leaving it until the last day of the window. Next season in my thoughts too. Will definitely have to offload 1 or 2, which is what we were hoping this time. For that to happen, they'll have to prove they're good enough. The only interest we've had is for Wilf, Andros and Yohan. They should all be reminded of that. This is how good you are. Nobody enquires about you. Think about that in your mock Tudor drums tonight.

The good money seems to be saying that this craziness will not go away for sometime soon, so expect fees and wages to increase. If so as you say we might well be running out of steam already.
