Some interesting debates in there. But wasn't it generally agreed that the players mentioned (Campbell, Delaney, Ward, Kelly etc) needed an upgrade? So would seem hypocritical to criticise his divisiveness.

Any points regarding disagreements with the board and uneasy relationships with players are very difficult to prove, however much circumstantial evidence. But for me, De Boer's biggest mistake is expecting such a dramatic shift to take place in a few weeks, with players clearly programmed to play a certain way. The 'evolution not revolution' remark will haunt. If this was a long term vision, then year one to consolidate and year two to adapt, with a full pre season and a year's recruitment behind him.

I had unease with his appointment, but an inability to suggest a better candidate. If Parish has a plan B, I think he needs to utilise it. If he hasn't, then this appointment is just going to have to be given the support to work. But De Boer is going to need to adapt his outlook to the strengths of his players. A couple of months and £8m in transfer fees is not a foundation for change. Mourinho, Klopp and Guardiola have all proven this.

The reality is we were caught on the back foot when Big Sam resigned. We went for Silva but he had already had his heart set in Watford.

From there we went for Pellegrino. He was the manager we really wanted. FDB was third choice. Pellegrino was leaning towards saints, time was ticking and we appointed FDB.

Freedman will be interim manager very soon and will do pretty well which will surprise many is my guess. He will then get the job permanently. Watch this space.

Don't think this would be a great surprise.

Likely scenario is that the club would see how he gets on and if there is an improvement he will get the job on a permanent basis which would disappointment me greatly.

We didn't 'go for silva'. Parish offered to fly him out to Spain. Not really the same when negotiations were about to happen with Watford in about 3-4 days time. A bit poor really. Instead of pausing the ego massaging of Wilf in Spain and postponing one of parish's 7 summer holidays, we let him slip away.

Frank was my last choice. Actually he wasn't my choice at all, but I was negative and doom and gloom so I must've been wrong.

2 games for me. Maybe 3. Better be some good signs or out.

The one I'd disagree with is ward. Your only right back you don't play in pre season at all, probably because you know he's not a wing back. I'm assuming here because I'm not sure he knew our players much at all going by his snap decision to get married to 3 at the back immediately after charming his way into the job.

So after that, and not being able to buy all the players to play the 3-4-3 he was determined to play regardless, because funds were no doubt limited to £30 mil max and he surely knew, he brings ward back in as RWB and had to rely on Luka being fit enough to play box to box after struggling in a back 3, and that's box to box with a couple of 20 year olds behind him.

You couldn't make this cr@p up if you tried. He has a chance to sort this out but he has very little credit in the bank and all this and 'gradually' bullsh1t will come out in the wash too.

Nail on the head with this article. If FDB really thought that our line up against HTFC and the players he played out of position was a winner then he should of walked.

Then again to play 3-4-3 against a very average Swansea team was completele farce yet again. Either FDB sorts his crap out and actually starts being a class football manager he believes he is get rid asap.

He has done nothing but alienate the clubs season pros, who yes maybe not be worldbeaters but it's these guys that have dug deep year on year to keep us in the PL and hopefully will be at Selhurst longer than this charlatan.

Publicly criticising players is rarely a good idea and he's already done that more than once.

I do agree but SA did it all the time and it was lauded as refreshing straight talking.

Yes he did and no one said a word.
Pardew, FdB crucified for doing it. I'm not in favour of any manager doing it, but it depends on your feelings towards the manager or seems?

Sam is a proven premiership manger with a track record that carries respect so you can believe he knows what he is talking about.
He said the players are not doing what he asked , I don't recall him implying they have no bottle.

Didn't FDB say words to the effect that the players didn't show "Courage" on the ball which can be interpreted differently to implying they were milquetoasts with no backbone.

He actually said that the players '' lacked balls ''.....if I was one of those players I'm not sure I would appreciate my boss saying that about me publicly.....

Never saw the interview.
Perhaps by saying they "Lacked balls" he was referring to their bravery on the ball.
