With Souare now playing again, would that not make one of Van Aanholt or Schlupp surplus to requirements? Very harsh I know to offload one of these, but if we're really up against the wall financially, there must surely be more pressing uses to be made of wages saved and transfer fees paid? Never rated Schlupp before or after he signed. Seemed a bit strange with PVA also signed.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

To think that Schlupp and PVA cost a combined 20 Mill rising to £26 Mill with add-ons.I'll let others decide whether they have proved value for money.

Schlupp was man of the match at left back a couple of times last season and was starting ahead of PVA but has presumably suffered this season as he isn't Dutch

If Pardew and parish didn't start the season with just Souare we might have accrued enough points to just need to buy 1 in January. We could've then had Riedewald as back up if it wasn't for the rush to 3 at the back, which is hopefully shelved for the time being.

Fryers was in the squad and came on numerous times but never started a game.
