Saying that he did also do quite well in European competitions. Seem to remember we signed the Hungarian "Wayne Rooney" years back and whatever happened to him ? Niasse looks a safer bet at similar prices, as he has played in the League, put some tidy performances in with Hull, may have something to prove as snubbed by the Toffees, so will settle better.

Hull fans on twitter their views Not bad bit erratic at times would have him back Eratic! But when he does something good it's good. Decent finisher. Best and worst player that you'll ever see!

He looked pretty decent at Hull. Not the worst signing in the world should it come off. Get him In.

Apparently no deal agreed according to Sky Sports. D. Sakho wants Rennes not us. Hope we get this over the line, we need a back up striker for when blasting the ball at Bentekes head isnt working

How many times did you watch him for Hull? Did pretty well there I recall. He's (fingers crossed) hardly going to play as will be backup for benteke, could do a lot worse as a backup in my eyes. 4 goals in 12 league games for Hull, not bad. An upgrade on campbell that's for sure! I was at 2 of the 12 matches he started for Hull city. Arsenal vs Hull (2-0) and Palace vs Hull (4-0). He scored in neither of these and never looked like scoring. His passing and link up play were poor and he carried little goal threat. He made 17 (12+5 sub)league appearances and scored 4 goals. I don't buy that they were a bad team when he was at Hull; Marco Silva got them playing really well and they put in some great performances in the second half of the season under him. I do still maintain that as per the verdict on him at Everton Oumar Niasse is not a premiership striker.

Think this is great if true, insurance policy in place for Benteke, and distraction of needing to find a striker is hopefully over... means we can focus on a certain central defender.

If we get him, he'll only need to be on the bench until Wickham returns. I suppose he'll be a reasonable stop-gap.

What a pathetic transfer, 5 games for Everton in 2016, and 17 for Hull a team that got relegated, and scored only 4 goals, Somehow i can't see that improving the squad, Pathetic
